Getting Mann, Micic, Bertans, and two seconds for Hayward was a steal. Mann could really develop into a very good point guard and I haven’t seen a backup point guard out on a show like Micic did last night since Tony Parker. Getting Bertans (outside of his contract) was just a bonus as he provides great depth off the bench. The two seconds were just icing on the cake. Williams, Curry, and a 1st rounder for Washington was also a great trade. Williams will now inherit the shot volume that Washington had and I didn’t see a drop off between them at all. Adding the first round was massive and getting Curry who can light it up off the bench is nice as well. In: Tre Mann, Vasa Micic, Davis Bertans, Grant Williams, Seth Curry, 2027 first round pick from Miami, 2027 first round pick from Dallas, 2024 second round pick from OKC, and a 2025 second round pick from OKC. Out: Terry Rozier, Gordon Hayward, P.J. Washington, 2024 second round pick, 2028 second round pick. Props to the new owners for taking the lead on this. The Hornets are set up for future success with Ball (if he can stay healthy), Miller, Bridges (if he’s re-signed), and Williams (if he can stay healthy). Additionally, we’ll be adding a top 5 talent this year and are in great shape cap wise for the future. On top of that we have two additional first round picks to use as trade bait or draft a player of our own. Good Poo

We’d need it to be a sign and trade but it’s possible. The nice thing is that per player needed we have the second most cap space. The Hornets have 13 players under contract for next year. Assuming we keep Bridges and add a rookie in the first round we are now at 15. We could cut Thor and his non-guaranteed contract to open up a roster spot. Then work on a sign and trade for Siakam. If I’m not mistaking, we have a trade exception we can use.

Micic, Mann, and Williams made a huge difference. Bertans was solid and Curry will be just fine. Looking to the future. Most of the team will be in tact for next year with the potential to add a high prized FA along with a top draft pick. If the Hornets wanted to, they could add someone like Siakam and draft someone like Knecht. PG - Ball, Micic, Mann SG - Miller, Martin, Curry, Smith Jr. SF - Bridges, Knecht, McGowens PF - Siakam, Williams, Bertans C - Williams, Richards

Sure is nice to have a bench now.

Tre Mann is already more useful than Gordon Hayward.

Hornets Trading Gordon Hayward to OKC

Lowry’s on an expiring deal, his cap space isn’t relevant to next year. -
Brandon Miller is going to be a star

Add me to the Sam Cassell bandwagon. Loved him as a player and thing he’d be a great coach. -
Knecht and Dillingham are in my short list of college players that I like. Like we’re seeing with Miller, guys who can shoot and create their own shot have a high rate of success at becoming a big time NBA player.

Miller is a dog, 35 points tonight.

Conference Championship Games

His inability to value points is a sore point with me. They win the game against Dallas if they take the FG’s in that game. They take the FG’s in this game and they likely win too. It’s just dumb coaching. -

Dan Campbell makes so many coaching mistakes. Once his staff is gone we’ll see how good he really is. -
Some questionable calls in that one for sure.

Tracy Smith looks like a solid hire if it works out. All-around Seattle has been a top special teams unit while he’s been there. Going through all the stats: points scored, kick return average, net punt average, etc., the Seahawks are toward the top in damn near every category.

Bunting against his old team.

Nice win for the Heels, a Clemson win would give them a three game lead in the ACC.

Love these, best kit so far. I might actually get one.

Cadeau is UNC’s difference maker, his ability to get into the paint opens everything up for the rest of the team. Once he develops and outside shot it’s game over.

Seems like a lot of guys were trying to get to 81 over the past week… Embiid, KAT, Luka, Booker.

Holy poo, off the top rope lol.

Thank God Corey Perry isn’t on our team, he’d be having a field day during this mom’s trip (joking). Good win.

Hate to be cliche and use another Alabama QB but… Tua. When McDaniel got to Miami he heavily implemented RPO plays from under center for Tua and it was an instant success after the early struggles for Tua. It just so happens that Young only ran 26 RPO plays this year but 4 of his 11 TD’s came on those RPO plays and he had a rating of 100.2 on those plays. Just something to keep in mind. I have no idea if Canales will use RPO but one thing he did do for Mayfield that really helped him was put him under center more. Have to wonder if we’ll see Bryce under center much more along with more RPO’s.

I feel like you are disrespecting Ron’s ample chest. -
Evans or Pittman would be huge assuming we keep Thielen. Both are elite at creating separation against single man coverage and if they were to be doubled then it would open up a ton of room underneath for Thielen.
