  1. He’s definitely looked good in drills by all reports, less so in actual gameplay… but he’s got a good skillset to work with. Unfortunately for him, he’s just got too many guys in front of him and for better or worse Rhule appears deadest on hitching his wagon to one of those guys. It would be fantastic and somewhat interesting if Corral had a solid preseason and was able to lead the offense on a few TD drives while not committing any turnovers. Maybe that could spice things up if Mayfield and Darnold falter.
  2. So here’s where we are. Looking at the radar, it looks like everything will switch over to rain at around 9:30.
  3. If that’s the case then I can guarantee you that there will not be clear eyes and full hearts… more like weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
  4. Orlando City recently had a game against Inter Miami that didn’t start until around 9:45PM due to a weather delay. No intel here but I suspect if they can’t start tonight’s game by 10:00PM then it’ll be postponed.
  5. Shouldn’t be blacked out unless you are in one of the restricted areas in NC, in that case it should come on a local channel. With that said, we are in a lengthy delay with no end in sight yet.
  6. I mean all the reports to this point are indicating that he’s taking a lot of check downs. I’m not writing him off and I want to see all the QB’s compete but Sam really has to show that he can stretch the field this year along with making the correct reads and a having a good pocket presence. I get it’s tough to do that in training camp but for better or worse Baker is at least showing the willingness to sling the ball around (sometimes finding the defense mind you). I think the preseason games will be the best gauge of where all the QB’s are as there is only so much you can tell from running 7 on 7’s.
  7. Wouldn’t totally shock me to see him have a good year, Nagy was that bad of a coach.
  8. In todays news, Jets coach, Robert Saleh, expressed his concerns with the Guardian Caps because he believes it’s leading to more players using their helmets since the blow is being softened. He has concerns once the caps are taken off as he believes players may continue to use their helmets out of habit and ultimately end up with an injury. In other news… - Josh Allen and Jordan Phillips got into at the Bill’s camp, don’t think Allen would win that one. - Former Panther, James Bradberry, is standing out at Eagles camp, apparently he locked up A.J. Brown today. - The Falcons had multiple fights at practice today and Arthur Smith had to get in there to break it up.
  9. Fugging here we go again, judging from the radar, it’s gonna be a long ass night.
  10. A friend of mine who never plays the lottery told me he did for the first time last night, sent me a picture of his ticket to prove it, he accidentally bought the power ball…
  11. Almost showtime… New Starting XI GK - Kahlina RB - Afful RCB - Corujo LCB - Walkes LB - Mora CDM - Bronico RCM - McNeill LCM - Bender RW - Gaines ST - Swiderski LW - Reyna Subs - Marks, Lindsey, Sobocinski, Makoun, Jones, Alcivar, Jozwiak, Shinyashiki, Rios Not Included - Sisniega, Ruiz, Vargas Injured - Armour, Mello Suspended - Fuchs Loaned - Zendejas (Charlotte Independence), Santos (Charlotte Independence), Franco (Talleres), Hegardt (Charlotte Independence) Released - Ortiz
  12. I think it’s also important for CMC that he has a QB that can stretch the field. For starters, it will open up more room for him underneath but also not getting hit 20 times a week should do wonders for his body. Indirectly, Sam could end CMC’s career if he doesn’t learn to spread the ball around. I’m still not sold on Mayfield yet but the fact that he isn’t keying in on CMC or another back or tight end every snap is nice.
  13. Bingo, Campen isn’t an idiot. Rhule still has his fingerprints all over the OL and that’s not a good thing.
  14. Smitty basically said he’s going to find himself moving down the chart lol… in regards to Elflein.
  15. You can’t dink and dunk all the way down the field, if you could then Darnold and Bridgewater would both be top 10 QB’s. 99% of the leagues QB’s can check down to a RB for a TD. It takes a good QB to start a drive at their own 20 and lead their team to a TD. I’m glad a Darnold hitting Hubbard in 7 v 7 redzone drill where the backs will always be uncovered has got you hard, go clean yourself up with a towel and let the rest of us talk about football.
  16. It appears Charlotte has offered Ramsey a two year deal in which he would become the teams highest paid player. If I was a betting man I’d say that Ramsey ends up in Charlotte… a two year deal, highest paid player in the club, and no competition for minutes as he tries to get games before the World Cup rolls around… it’s a no lose situation for Ramsey.
  17. So it appears the Ramsey interest is for real, the Welsh international is deciding between Charlotte FC and Nice.
  18. Massive game tonight… taking on Columbus at The Bank at 7:00PM. Charlotte FC could find themselves anywhere between 7th and 11th by nights end. It goes without saying, but it’s a must win to keep the playoff hopes alive.
  19. In hindsight, should have kept SGA over Bridges.
  20. Bad placement for sure but I think the clip really highlights Chinn’s speed. If you watch frame by frame, Chinn’s not even in the frame when the video starts.
  21. If he has a good preseason returning kicks/punts then he’s locked down a spot, I would think. At the end of the day Andre Roberts is 34, you don’t cut a guy who is showing promise (Smith) for a 34 year old special teams player. Roberts is good but he’s not Devin Hester, I’d lean more towards keeping Smith for the future.
  22. Well… one things for certain. Baker has to be feeling the love more in Charlotte than he did in Cleveland. Though we could probably say the same for Sam initially.
  23. Ickey’s dance after he leaks out for a big man TD at the goal line?
  24. You are correct, I was going to come back to this post and say the same thing. Larkin has no power but is one of our faster DE’s. I like that Ickey’s foot work was smooth throughout the entire rep even against a faster DE. Also, as they come around you can see that Ickey has that right arm tucked in. A lot of young T’s would have moved that right arm toward the shoulder which would probably draw a flag for holding.
  25. So I’m probably one of the few people that like Saunders. He’s slower but runs pretty good routes, he’s just not as athletic as some of the other slower wide receivers out there (Jarvis Landry). However, he’s a PS squad player this year imo. Moore, Anderson, Marshall, Higgins, and Zylstra are locks for me. Roberts and Smith would be my bubble guys.
