  1. Yeah it’s Oregon’s second and third stringers against Liberty’s starters which is probably good for a 21 point win in Oregon’s favor. If they win by more than 30 I’d be shocked. I just don’t see Oregon showing up.
  2. No, but it shows that literally anything is possible. Hell, UNCW went into Rupp and knocked off UK yesterday in basketball. I’m just saying that 35 points is an absolute ton to give up in a game that one team will get up for and the other won’t.
  3. I’m about two hours from Jax so I suppose I’ll go if I’m bored.
  4. 100%, I’m not touching that game on my bet slip. I could see FSU, Mizzou, and Penn State caring about proving that Liberty doesn’t belong. I just don’t see Oregon showing up for that game. I think Oregon win’s by 21 because of depth but no chance in hell they win by 35 or 40.
  5. They’ll keep it within 35, that’s guaranteed. If you take that bet you are giving away money. They literally beat the NMSU team (twice) that beat the poo out of Auburn who nearly upset #4 Alabama. Giving 35 points to a team that won’t play half their players against a team that has an elite QB and will be playing their biggest game in school history is fugging dumb lol. I’m telling you that if you put money on that then you are losing it lol. And it has nothing to do with Liberty, more to do with Oregon.
  6. DO NOT DO THAT. Most of Oregon’s players will be sitting out and Liberty has one of the best dual threat QB’s in the country regardless of conference. Kaidon Salter was a top 150 recruit out of Texas that is only at Liberty because he got kicked out of Tennessee. I imagine he’ll hit the portal and head to a P5 school after the year is over. This is a recipe for a G5 upset. I could see FSU wanting to prove a point and beating the breaks off Liberty if they got matched up together, Oregon on the other hand won’t give a poo.
  7. So Liberty gets the G5 NY6 bid over SMU. Liberty was undefeated but had the worst SOS in college football… yet FSU gets jumped for the playoffs even though they were undefeated. Seems a little contradictory unless the sole reason that FSU didn’t get in was because Jordan Travis is hurt.
  8. There will be problems but not to this extent. An 8-3 team isn’t as deserving nor would they have as good of a chance at winning a championship as an undefeated or one loss team. The expansion to twelve should fix a lot of issues.
  9. Which is why it’s all about what you look like week to week. The committee, the NCAA, and ESPN want a competitive semi finals because that’s what will make them money. Joey Galloway can parade around and act like he doesn’t care but Charlie Baker, Bob Iger, and the CFP committee sure care. In reality it didn’t come down to Bama and FSU, it came down to FSU and Texas. An SEC team was going to make it. If Georgia won they’d have been number one, with Alabama winning you have everyone saying that they had the best win all year. If Texas doesn’t beat Alabama this year then they probably get left out but it would be impossible to leave Texas out while putting Bama in since Texas won that head to head matchup. But I’d damn near guarantee that if Texas was a one loss team that had not beaten Bama and instead beaten a team like Kentucky, FSU would be in over them.
  10. Boo is actually the AD at NCSU… the next ACC meeting is going to be awkward.
  11. 100%, that’s why it’s been stated that it’s okay to lose early (i.e. Alabama) but if you struggle late or lose late then you are fugged. It’s all about what you’ve done for me lately.
  12. It is a shame that Jordan Travis’ injury cost FSU a shot at the playoffs.
  13. Obvious to everyone with eyes what the top four was going to be. Eye test, eye test, eye test. This will also allow the committee to justify SMU jumping undefeated Liberty for the G5 NY6 bid.
  14. I liked Shane and Tripp. Kind of reminded me of just two buddies watching a game together and talking about it on like a live podcast lol.
  15. Ain’t no way you can put this version of FSU in the CFP’s. Michigan would be up 20 on them by halftime.
  16. Most complete game all year. Maybe not the best but the most complete in all aspects of the game (offense, defense, goaltending, special teams).
  17. G5 Champions CUSA - Liberty AAC - SMU SunBelt - Troy MAC - Miami OH Mountain West - Boise State P5 Champions SEC - Alabama BIG 12 - Texas PAC 12 - Washington ACC - TBD BIG 10 - TBD Besides the top 4, the other big question the committee is going to have to answer is who gets the G5 NY6 bid… Liberty or SMU.
  18. Saying it as a fact is asinine. However, it is a known fact that injuries are factored in to the CFP choices. If FSU wins on a game winning kick against a Louisville team that just lost to a mid SEC team in Kentucky then they could easily get left out.
  19. And neither team is the same team that they are now. To say that won’t play into the decision of the committee would be foolish. If Alabama hangs on they can say LSU was FSU’s best win but it was probably Bama’s third best win. That’s how large the SOS gap is between FSU and Bama.
  20. Agreed, looking at FSU’s schedule, their signature win came against an SEC team that didn’t even make the SEC championship and that win was over 90 days ago when FSU was fully healthy. Corrigan will fight hard for an undefeated FSU team but if they don’t dominate a Louisville team that is coming off of a loss to an average SEC team, then I can see FSU getting jumped.
  21. I think it depends on how much SOS plays into the decision. Bama, Texas, and FSU would all be conference champions which apparently holds a lot of value to the committee. So it comes down to SOS vs. an undefeated team. FSU will say that no one beat them but Texas and Bama will argue that they’d also be undefeated with the same schedule and both will be higher than FSU in the College Football Power Index and both Bama and Texas also have a stronger SOS. Bama and Texas will argue that if going undefeated is that important then we might as well let Liberty in.
  22. It’s tough because FSU is an undefeated champion but the argument is there that they had a fairly week schedule for a P5 team. Beating a mediocre Louisville team in the ACC championship probably won’t be enough to actually jump Alabama or Texas in the College Football Power Index. Then you have Alabama who arguably would have the best win on paper out of any team in college football. But then Texas would argue that they beat Bama head to head, albeit over 90 days ago. I don’t envy the job of Corrigan.
  23. Boo Corrigan has to be shitting himself right now. Washington and Michigan (barring some sort or collapse) are locks. Now let’s say Georgia is 12-1, FSU is 13-0, Texas is 12-1, and Alabama is 12-1… who are the other two teams? Also, remember that Corrigan is the AD at NCSU, he’s going to fight hard for a 13-0 FSU team.
