Honestly. I can’t think of a single standout at pro bowl nomination levels, outside of Reddick right now. Chinn has been solid but perhaps not pro bowl level this year. This isn’t a knock on our talent. Just not pro bowl nomination worth candidates.

Also on the Jarvis thing I’d really love to see him barrel on the net when he gets the puck close to their blue line more. He was drawing penalties when he was on the Aho line and before. His speed will guarantee a penalty every time. He was really too methodical the last few breakaways he’s had instead of just flying to the net. He’s young. He can take the hits. Shhhh. Don’t say that. We just never seem to find the net vs. top goalies…. Unless we get one early. Then we just kill whoever’s in net. That said I’m feeling a big night for Jarvis. He’s been slack since we took him off the Aho line forecheck-wise but it’s only a matter of time.

Also, is “a lot of people are gonna get cut along the way” in the present/future-tense a foreshadowing by Cam? Or was it just his lingo using “gonna”.

No the perfect response would have been if he pulled up the, Clip on his phone and played that. But it was pretty damn close.

For sure. I’m doing the one game at a time thing right now. If that little what was hopefully a “hiccup” for us these past few weeks starts to mend itself I’ll be real happy. Tonight if we can show their defense up I’ll be real happy. Edmonton worries me because we are missing both TDA and Pesce. McDavid is guaranteed 2 goals so we have to really put an offensive clinic on. Vancouver we’ll see. Minnesota, we better have fugging Pesce back, they are as legit as they were last season and a serious cup contender. Just took them a minute to get their engine started. Probably our toughest game on paper since Florida. If we can win tonight I’ll hold out hope we can power through and get 7-8~ points out of this trip and get some ground back on the Rangers. Also we still need Cole/Smith on the roster for “Broad Street” games, but if Chatfield can keep improving his game, his speed is gonna be necessary vs. some teams. We’ll see.

No, I think he was just lamenting his luck at when he was picked. It does seem for sure he was saying BC is/will be way better than a third though. Aka, calling Rhule out for being an idiot, nicely.

Honestly, that’s be like Rod coaching the Canes. Bring Luke in as the LB coach and groom him for DC. Get a real QB OC guru that’s tried and tested. I’m down for it.

That’s the thing, Rhule is always saying a LT’s arms are going to be fully extended. That’s why that extra inch and a quarter “matters”, because maybe they won’t be “fully” extended. But an LT with none of the other assets mentioned is going to get beat every single time. It’s not a perfect world for LT’s, just sticking your arms out every play and moving a little to the left aren’t gonna defend these highly skilled DE/EDGE OLB’s. Hell, let’s give Rhule the benefit of the doubt, Maybe Christensen isn’t ready to start at LT this year, needs to perfect the scheme and technique for a while longer. Than say that, don’t just say, “OMG his arms are too short”.

I think they have honestly. But I wouldn’t classify it as he’s overtly lost them yet. Just that they are as apathetic as the fan base is. If and when we get eliminated from the playoffs it’s gonna get ugly.

At least there was no extra games attached from what’s I saw. It’s basically the NHL saying no it wasn’t an intentional or malicious hit but we don’t like you still. Plus we are trying to clean up hit’s because we’ve had a rash of malicious Kneeings in the past few weeks.

Nah, if Tepper wanted to fire Rhule it would have happened during the bye in this situation. Rhule is safe until Black Monday or week(17-18?) now, if not next year.

Ya he was getting frustrated and just made a couple bone headed penalties. I don’t blame the 5 on him even though he did stick his leg out a bit, the jet def saw it coming and flopped. If you watch the clip of it from ice level here in slo-mo you can see him pull his knee up and forward after context and then extending it back to help him flip. Then he lays on the ice for 20 seconds faking injury until suddenly he’s fine and skating again the next minute. he should have gotten a game misconduct as well. But teams know they are gonna get these calls against us cause of our ref/league issue right now.
