  1. I think Rod is even a little surprised just how stupidly good Necas is playing right now. Def keep him with Aho though when we got our full compliment back. Aho is really putting in the leg work to let Necas shine. I’d love to see an Svech-Aho-Necas line closer to the playoffs.
  2. Paquette playing with that chip is beautiful. We will have a fight before the night is over.
  3. With even such a tiny crowd you could still feel the energy after that last goal through the TV.
  4. I like Paquette digging on Vas too after the clear goal. Get in his head.
  5. We need TT, Mrazek & Tro back for them. Tro and Mrazek are close but I’m worried we won’t see TT again this season.
  6. I think he knows a trade might be imminent and that his future is done here after the season almost assuredly with Ned balling out. He’s slow but I chalk his last few starts with poor play up to his headspace more than anything.
  7. I’d feel a lot better if we had Tro and our proper lines in.
  8. I like reimer too. I think we should have started him Vs. Boston more last playoffs. But he is completely in a horrible headspace.
  9. Ok Reimer needs to go bye bye or on a break. But the rest of them need to wake the Fug up this isn’t fugging cleveland.
  10. Sidenote, been watching the Av's and Vegas. Colorado is no joke this year. Us and Them would be insanely fun hockey to watch.
  11. "The Carolina Hurricanes make a brief return home to host the Tampa Bay Lightning, a match-up of the top two teams in the Central Division. Reimer in net, he best come prepared. PS: @Verge
  12. https://www.nhl.com/news/carolina-hurricanes-gm-team-could-trade-goalie-to-add-help-on-defense/c-322940856 "If the Hurricanes do trade one of their goalies, it could be for a right-shot defenseman. "We like our defense, but you know, after you get through our first two sets of pairs, we've got three lefties there," Waddell said. "They all play well, but they all would be better on their natural side. They're all left-hands who would be better on the left side. … So if we could add a right-hand-shot defenseman to complement them, I think that would be good.""
  13. https://www.nhl.com/news/eric-staal-traded-to-canadiens-by-sabres/c-322946172?tid=278542340 "Eric Staal was traded to the Montreal Canadiens by the Buffalo Sabres on Friday for a third-round and a fifth-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft. Staal is in the final season of a two-year, $6.5 million contract ($3.25 million average annual value) he signed with the Minnesota Wild on Feb. 25, 2019 and can become an unrestricted free agent after the season. The Sabres will retain $1.625 million of the forward's salary."
  14. Very true either way we got a huge chunk of contracts coming up. The irreplacibles more so next offseason but still. If he really wants to stay I’d hope he’d settle for 7 with a no trade clause. If that’s even possible. I think we can work with that. Anything north of 7.5 though shouldn’t even be considered.
  15. I wouldn’t either but since it’s only one game at home and Rod thinking it would boost our play up front you never know. But ya if not give Ned the start. But I feel like Rod would give the start to Reimer otherwise.
  16. Me too. Both Tro and Nino could be open(I mean if not it’s Svech and one of them since Necas isn’t eligible at all and doesn’t count against our protected number), Foegele for sure. Thats not exactly the best case scenario any way you look at it.
  17. Yep, letting him move on would be a huge boon to keeping the rest of the folks. It also depends on what happens with the expansion draft. Since we aren’t doing a deal before the end of the season Seattle could end up offering him what he wants or more since they get a window to negotiate with free agents before the draft we don’t.
  18. The fact he really wants to stay according to sources from both sides is the only reason I think we may be able to talk him down. But we’ll also have to give him something else in return.
  19. I really hope they give Ned the start vs. TB Tomorrow... but throwing Mrazek back in there if he’s ready may be a much needed curve ball/focus tool for us. I feel like reimer is gone after this season either way. But Mrazek may get us more in the short term if we are playing him to a non-playoff/goalie lacking team for the future. Which is the feeling I got from Dons statement.
