  1. Once again, if he learned anything from that, he will sit back and watch it play out.
  2. Tepper isn't the GM. And if he has learned anything in the past couple of years, he will sit his fat, rich ass in the background and let Morgan do his job.
  3. Doubtful. I think we want more picks, if anything. But, if the wide receiver run happens earlier and more voraciously than predicted, I think we have to find a way to get in front of Kansas City and maybe even San Fran.
  4. How about Malik Washington? Guy was a monster on offense and special teams last year.
  5. I didn't see that when I watched him at all. He plays tough. He is not a finesse receiver. He mixes it up over the middle and will fight back to the ball. I think the issue with Worthy is that he needs to be more of a hands catcher. Lots of body catches. But that can be coached and trained. DJ Moore had similar issues coming out and he was able to get much better with it.
  6. We badly need a draft to have more hits than misses. I'm hoping they have those players in mind and a few different plans in place to get them.
  7. I understand why Canales was hired. The guy just projects confidence, work ethic, passion, and intelligence in all respects. I hope he works out.
  8. I'll be honest... I like it. If it played out this way, I'd be excited for the team.
  9. I'd love to see Penix go to the Vikings. With those receiving weapons and a coach who specializes in QBs? Oof. Reminiscent of Randall Cunningham with Moss and Carter.
  10. The problem was that we hired Reich and kept Campen from the previous regime. Campen wanted to coach his guys his way. Reich's system asked guys to block in specific ways that contradicted Campen's teachings. So, naturally, it all fell apart. In short, Campen coached his linemen, not the system. Reich's system is specific to every position group for it to work. These things never aligned. Guys looked clueless and overmatched, because, frankly, they were. Bryce kept mentioning in his presser that it was nice to have everyone "speaking the same language" or "have one vision." It's clear what the problem was. Bryce spills the tea in his pressers. It's subtle, but it's there.
  11. I know he received credit for his maturity, but I don't think enough was said about his ability to maintain composure while trying to navigate the ridiculous circumstances he found himself stuck in last year. I too believe a lot of people will be forced to admit they were wrong about Bryce. I can't wait to see it.
  12. Time will tell, but I think the best quarterback to come out of this class will be Michael Penix. But yes, it definitely seems like Caleb Williams is going to be a difficult personality to mesh with an NFL locker room.
  13. This is mildly surprising, actually. I know Dionte has a great feel to beat press at the line of scrimmage, but tethering him to the line instead of letting him come off of the line and even go in motion to the slot, limits some of the creativity we can get from him. They must be trying to limit the shots he could take from a linebacker or safety over the middle. Guys like Legette, Polk, and Coleman have the bulk to hold up against those harder hitters. Polk and Coleman have clear slot ability, but Legette seems like an X to me. I read somewhere where the debate was coming down to Coleman or Legette. If they are projecting past this season? Legette has a true number 1 ceiling. Coleman may only ever be a Z but he could bring that Tee Higgins element to the offense.
  14. I understand taking the best player, but the problem is that there is no consensus top RB in the draft, and it is even up for debate if one of the RBs is even worth a 2nd round pick at all. Taking the "top" player at a position doesn't always indicate "value." It could be that the position group is lacking. The 7th best receiver may actually be the best player available and well worth pick 33 over the 1st RB. Especially in this draft.
  15. I think it will come down to Legette or Coleman, as has been stated by many people. I think it comes down to who is available. There are some sources that believe Legette could sneak into the 1st round. If he doesn't, I think he is the pick. Coleman is likely next on the board. They are looking for a true X receiver.
  16. The teams that are drafting well and competing every year, know what kind of players they are looking for. Morgan has said he wants "Dawgs." Well, if the rankings are even at different positions, that will likely be the tie breaker. Who is the tough, play-hard bastard that hates to lose? That name will be on the card they turn in. I read somewhere we are modeling our approach after Arizona. But I don't think that is true. I think we are modeling after the Lions. Dan Campbell has implemented a culture and changed that team's identity. Suddenly, they are a team that other teams dread playing. That's who we want to be.
  17. I think everyone needs to go back and realize what Jameson Williams did for Young at Alabama and how desperately he missed him in the Championship Game and in his final year. We need a guy that can blow the top off of the defense at any moment. I have no doubt that if a guy like Thomas were to slip, he would be the pick. I honestly think Franklin and Legette are higher on our board because of their ability to stretch defenses. We have to make defenses respect the perimeter, or else Young will be facing 5-6 man blitzes and 8 man boxes again all year. All this talk about route technicians and stuff is overblown. Why do you think we traded for Dionte and kept Thielen? We have those guys for the interim. Want to see Young make a leap in year 2? Get him big, fast receivers that can spin corners around and force safeties to hang back an extra few yards.
  18. What are your thoughts on Roman Wilson? Widely considered a top 10 WR in this draft.
  19. He reminds me of Lamarcus Joyner coming out. He is a tough evaluation because on the one hand, he was super productive, but on the other, he lacks any standout translatable traits for his position. He's a tough, smart player, and he will likely get playing time for whoever drafts him, but it is hard to justify drafting a role/gadget player earlier than late round 2 or round 3. He's a nickel that can dabble at free safety. But he lacks length for corner, and the bulk for safety.
  20. I keep hearing Ben Sinnott's name. Wouldn't be shocked to see him taken with 39. Apparently teams are a lot higher on him than the media realizes.
  21. He's stayed relatively healthy the past two seasons, won every significant defensive award this past season, and his 40 and 10 yard split were elite for his position. So, yeah, he is worth a 1st and I would certainly be comfortable taking him at 33.
  22. To be fair, none of those guys had injury issues before getting to the NFL
