  1. In reality, "loser mentality" is acting like the first sign of adversity means everything is wrong and we have to start over.
  2. I've mentioned this previously but it's worth noting again. If you were around for the 2003 Super Bowl run, you probably remember feeling pretty good until about Week 6 when we went against the Titans. That game was even more of a disaster than yesterday was. We absolutely got humbled. People were saying we'd been exposed. All the usual drama. But of course, we recovered and went on to our first Super Bowl appearance. Is this year's team a Super Bowl team? Seriously doubt it. I'm not even sure we're a playoff team yet. But regardless, if you think yesterday defines us, exposes us, all the usual drama, then you're basically just wilting at the first sign of adversity. Pretty bad move, because it's likely not the last adversity will face this season. Get up, dust off and move on.
  3. Trust me when I say I know a thing or two about eggs
  4. I think he's referring to laying an egg, i.e putting in an incredibly bad performance. Take, for example, the initial post in this thread
  5. Pretty much this. I don't like blaming the refs but that crew yesterday sucked ass. (not a huge shock with Boger being in charge)
  6. I don't know if we're a good team, but I feel pretty confident we're not a bad team. If we are a team that can at least beat the bad teams, that's a step up from last year.
  7. Some people are just never happy. Others are more invested in having their opinions validated than in seeing us win. KInda sad, honestly.
  8. Nah. Even after today's loss, I'm still pretty happy with where we're headed.
  9. Again, ironic You don't get it, kid. And I'm just one of many who knows that. Look back at your other responses if you doubt. Keep trying, though. It's amusing, at least.
  10. It's not the first time I've heard that suggested.
  11. Ironic And no, don't need to. As has been alluded to by someone else in this thread, nobody takes you seriously so what's the worry?
  12. We actually drafted a couple this past draft. They're just not playing yet.
  13. Dude, I get it. We all get it. You want people to think you're really football smart. The problem is you're not, and not particularly good at faking it either. Do more listening and less talking and maybe you'll learn in time.
  14. No, but you clearly didn't understand what he was saying. (why am I not surprised?)
  15. For"context", Gooby doesn't pay attention to the games, and even when he does he doesn't understand what he's watching, but to top that off he lies about it. A while back he claimed to be watching All 22 film, so I asked him about the commentary on it. He claimed to have heard it, but there is no commentary on All 22. Likewise, you can make up imaginary plays and ask him about them. He'll claim to have seen them and will comment on what he saw I've done that with him several times. It's fun. You should try it.
