  1. Gantt's article has a lot of details on that.
  2. To anyone thinking the decisions of who to target and such are already made, the reality is that the process of shaping those decisions is just getting started.
  3. Seriously, we need more disco songs about historical figures.
  4. I'm not absolutely convinced that Lance is worth the number eight. I've seen some fans projecting an image of the next Cam Newton on to him that I don't think is really there.
  5. This was his main source... An important fact that Spanish left out is that Rasputin was "a cat who really was gone"
  6. Trade up to #3 overall and take Lance? I'm not sure you'd need to trade up at all to get Lance.
  7. Their fans are probably thinking of Exodus too.
  8. People were expecting a pretty crazy quarterback carousel this year. Now I'm not so sure. Seems like the Stafford deal skewed everybody's expectations a little bit. Now some teams are thinking "hey if they got that, we can get it too" even though their quarterbacks don't have anywhere near the ability that Stafford does.
  9. Asking a guy "hey, what do you think" is fine. Having them actually be part of the decision making, not so much.
  10. Not quite true... The Texans offered to let Watson be part of their coaching and GM search. He didn't ask for it. It was a stupid idea, but they did it. Then they made it worse by not following through on their promise.
  11. I feel like I'm watching potentially the biggest train wreck in NFL history in super slow motion. It's no exaggeration to say that right now Mark Davis (haircut and all) looks like a more qualified heir to NFL ownership than Cal McNair does.
  12. Good analysis. Guess you could say we've got biblical, literary and historical examples
  13. Honestly, if you're looking for imagery that represents Easterby and McNair, I'd go here.
  14. Heck, they're only getting started. I can't imagine being a Texans fan right now.
  15. He'd been with the team for a long while. Caserio seems to be wasting no time pushing out establish executives so he can get his own people in there. Also, from what I've read, Rootes had some conflict with Jack Easterby. So for anyone hoping the organization and Easterby are going to part ways, this probably isn't a good sign. Beginning to think we dodged a major bullet by not hiring Caserio.
  16. Worth remembering the process here... The Hall of Fame voters are largely media. In order to get in, one of those voters has to present a strong argument for your inclusion. Smith hasn't always had the greatest relationship with the media.
  17. From what I've read, he looked kinda rough in the Senior Bowl practices too.
  18. I actually did look at his Twitter. It doesn't necessarily say rehab to me but the amount of stuff he's retweeted about suicide prevention would make me kind of concerned. It's possible of course that all that means is it's a big deal to him. He may know someone who killed themselves.
