  1. You really think that's enough to merit serious consideration? There are a dozen other factors and a load of them are not in our favor. I get the desire to have a franchise quarterback but reading this thread I feel like I'm watching a masterclass in rationalization.
  2. He didn't say the Texans were game to do a deal with us either, but we're running with it as if he did. Heck, all he basically said was "maybe the Panthers are an option too".
  3. In a year when we already can't afford to keep both Moton and Samuel and the salary cap might end up going down?
  4. Plus you're going to have to trade him somewhere he wants to go. Are we ready to believe he's only interested in NFC teams?
  5. The Rapoport tweet we're basing this discussion on lists two AFC teams as likely trade targets. Are we gonna say that Rapoport's right about us but wrong about them?
  6. Also not entirely accurate. The Rams didn't just give those picks away. They traded them for returns (Jalen Ramsey, for example).
  7. He burned bridges to hand the team to Nick Caserio and now he's not gonna let him make a deal?
  8. Well to his credit, at least he pays for his meals. Go to dinner with Tepper and it might be you that ends up paying
  9. I have no idea what you're talking about. As far as I remember, Peyton Manning retired as a Colt. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it)
  10. I'm trying to remember the last big time quarterback I saw go out with a happy ending. Was probably Elway. It doesn't happen often.
  11. Also dear Saints fans, next time you face us you won't have Drew Brees and we won't have a roster that was put together by Marty Hurney.
  12. Mentioned it elsewhere: I once heard someone say that the length of the average NFL career is "one year too long". That probably applies to Brees right now.
  13. I think it's very likely. Lots of things can happen though.
  14. He's not necessarily hearing a rumor. Just connecting the dots. Yeah, it's possible. But it might not happen quickly.
  15. Remember all the hype about his "coaching project"? Didn't exactly help him, did it? Heck I think he only ended up bringing one of those guys onto his staff.
  16. Seeing Mike McCarthy in Dallas this year makes me wonder how Green Bay got anywhere with him. Lotta people said it was Rodgers.
  17. I know football, and I find it very funny. Wilson is a good quarterback, but he's not Aaron Rodgers good. The only guy in the league right now that I could see placing over Aaron Rodgers is maybe Patrick Mahomes.
  18. Marino was damn good. He could make a decision in a fraction of a second and put the ball in the exact right spot.
  19. Elway's Super Bowl performances weren't exactly anything to write home about till later in his career
