  1. Tell that to the people who drafted guys like Tim Couch, Sam Bradford and Jamarcus Russell (among others).
  2. Kunkel with a pretty solid take on the situation...
  3. The Jets have Hackett as their OC. Also I believe another coach associated with Rodgers whose name I don't remember. Add that to the Packers statement that they would only trade Rodgers to an AFC team and that's where the dots start connecting. Still, yeah that's a load.
  4. Keep in mind we've got more coming in the next couple of days. The discussion between Jourdan Rodrigue and Julian Council in the Evero thread is also well worth watching.
  5. Appreciated. I saw Reich's but wasn't able to catch Caldwell's.
  6. Again, ironic Sorry, but believing a guy from a Raiders fan site versus a guy who works for a legitimate outlet doesn't work for me. And someone else already explained to you how the Raiders "cash poor" thing works, if you were listening. I can try to find it again for you if you need.
  7. Yet you said you knew what Carr was thinking. It's pretty obvious that you actually don't. As far as the Jets, you said you don't think they like Carr that much, but... They're exploring their options, and Carr is one of them. You say you prefer to listen to people that know more, and yet you make statements contradicting those people. Again, who's the know-it-all?
  8. That I can agree with. I really don't expect them to be willing to give up that much for anyone in this draft, but we'll see.
  9. Let me put it another way... Which one of us is claiming to know what the team and certain players are thinking despite the fact that it goes totally against what's actually being reported? Cuz see, someone like that is who I would consider a know-it-all
  10. Willis was also projected to be a top ten pick prior to the draft.
  11. Yeah, this false notion that you either have to make some kind of ridiculous deal or you're stuck with someone like Darnold Is kinda silly. There are a load of options. You don't just have to go to one of two extremes.
  12. Trading up to get Jones would have been dumb too, honestly. He wasn't going in the top ten.
  13. How's the guy they traded up for doing? If they had it to do over, you think they'd do it again?
  14. And basically do the same thing to him that the Panthers did to Newton.
  15. Making trades like this gives you a really good shot of staying that way.
  16. But we didn't use a top ten pick to get him. This notion that you can just take a guy with good physical characteristics and teach him how to play quarterback at the pro level has blown up in more than one team's faces.
  17. There's a line between bold and stupid. This trade proposal crosses that line at high speed and keeps right on rolling
  18. I'd much rather put Brown at one of the end spots and look outside for a true nose tackle.
  19. Which is why teams are going with the strategy of trying to load up while they've got a quarterback on a rookie contract (like our own GM has said is the best way to go these days). Yes, some quarterbacks are going to get overpaid. That doesn't mean every team wants to be the one paying them.
