    Our buddy John Ellis mentioned another possibility, specifically that this could be another leak from Payton's agent.

    On Albright's most recent broadcast, his words on our situation were that he doesn't know if Payton really wants Carolina, or if Carolina really even wants Payton.

    They've never said that. In fact, it was reported that Paton won't be included in the next round of interviews. It's set to be ownership only.

    Was reported that Payton might not want Arizona because they hired a GM without waiting on him. Speculation now is that yhis is a move on his part trying to force Denver's hand.
