Panthers receive permission to interview Sean Payton

Also not a fan... -
By success. Some people know how to evaluate player skills. Others don't. That's why some GMs are Ozzie Newsome and others are Marty Hurney.

This guy helped.

Back when we signed him, David Carr had the best completion percentage in the league. Taysom Hill has a higher passer rating than several full time starting quarterbacks. And of course, the Panthers defense of last year was the #2 defense in the league. Stats aren't facts. Stats are math. Wisdom is knowing what they mean, and what they don't.

Their joke beat our joke

Lady Cowboy Fan was happy because she didn't want to play the Eagles if the Cowboys win tomorrow night. Just advised her if they win now, they'll face the 49ers

Didn't like that playcall

This sounds familiar Also, nobody is trading a first rounder for Lance.

Bills are gonna need to be careful about that too. They've been in danger of overusing Allen the same way to the Panthers did Newton.

Yep. I'm pretty sure people in every fanbase that got a Super Bowl winning coach thought they were on a path to championship glory. Every single one of them, without fail, has been disappointed. Hiring one of those guys guarantees nothing. -
Is that still true in the playoffs?
-
Ron Rivera was a two-time coach of a year. The best statistical performances in college football have come from guys like Tim Couch and Timmy Chang. Similar results happen in the NFL all the time. Stats and awards are misleading. Judge by what you see, and even then you have to be discerning.

Never judge by stats or awards

About him vs his teammates, no I don’t. About him as a quarterback, he’s good but hasn’t proven to be great yet, especially not in the playoffs. About making a massive trade for him? Hell no.

That's a "clock striking midnight" moment.

The team's that pursued deals like the one you're advocating look even worse.
