  1. Calling Harbaugh a college coach is a stretch. Saying Tepper might not be up for another egomaniac control freak would probably be accurate though.
  2. No issue with either of those choices. But I don't think that's who we hire.
  3. Means he doesn't have anything close to a credible answer.
  4. The Wishbone is part of NFL history too, but I wouldn't suggest employing it today. Of the coaches listed, only Pete Carroll actually has final say. Heck, Reid specifically stated he leaves personnel stuff to Brett Veach. Tomlin had Colbert, Payton had Loomis, Coughlin had to dial back to start winning and Parcells actually got worse the more control he got (his trophy came working with Ernie Accorsi). Having a total control coach is not a popular model these days, and for good reason.
  5. Agreed. Trashing him is stupid.
  6. I don't know if those specifics are true, but It wouldn't shock me if Denver ownership was trying to make a big splash (same as Tepper did with his first hire). I'd add that while we don't know what his desires/demands are, based on his general personality and what happened in Minnesota last year, it's not hard to figure that they're probably...substantial.
  7. My ideal would be Wilks with the duties of a DB Coach but an assistant head coach title.
  8. My guess would be some of the same folks who convinced themselves that Harbaugh was interested in the Panthers job above all others probably also thought Deshaun Watson was pining to be our quarterback and didn't want to play anywhere else.
  9. Outside of Belichick, what full control coaches are dominating the NFL right now? (hell, even Belichick isn't looking so good without Brady)
  10. Not really. It's primarily about Tepper just throwing money at the hottest name in the media again. But if we were to make that comparison I'd say while Harbaugh is a much superior coach, he's also a very similar personality.
  11. I'm not that big a Harbaugh fan. And frankly, I don't give a sh-t how much they cost. It's what they do for the money.
  12. Rapsheet writes that if Michigan were to make him the highest paid coach in college football, he might just stay put.
  13. If the alternative is him learning nothing and making the same stupid mistakes over and over again, I'll take it.
  14. I get the feeling if he didn't have football, Harbaugh might be the country's most prolific serial killer
  15. You don't believe in the offensive genius of Matt Patricia? Agree about Leftwich, and I was never that big on his hype anyway (too inexperienced) but Wilks reaching out to him If he were to become available is a scenario I could definitely see.
  16. ...unless you have Urban Meyer coaching. (probably would've been true with Matt Rhule as well)
