  1. Said it elsewhere and I'll repeat it here: Steve Wilks is a high character, strong leadership guy that brings good qualities to any organization he's part of. Those qualities are what I care about. I wouldn't give a sh-t if he was from Timbuktu.
  2. Steve Wilks most certainly provides the kind of strong, high character leadership that you want in your organization. I don't think he'll get the head coaching job, but I'd still love to have him be part of the staff. Don't really think that'll happen either, but it's possible..
  3. I don't see anything there that sounds like him blaming or scapegoating Darnold.
  4. Yes, I have. He's a great college quarterback. I'm not convinced he'll be a great pro quarterback.
  5. I don't think he'll get the job either, but I wouldn't necessarily put the chances at zero.
  6. I would vote "no." but John Ellis and Mike Kaye think there is. Do they have a point?
  7. Woody Johnson kept Rex Ryan around because he liked his bravado. We can at least say we've never kept a coach employed for personality reasons. GM, on the other hand...
  8. Season was a lot of things, but it sure as hell wasn't boring. Overall though, having started the season with a should have been fired Matt Rhule I can at least now look forward to a potentially better future.
  9. Unfortunately, he didn't wait till the game was over
  10. Something that affects the team. Tepper getting punished for sh-tty turf doesn't bother me in the least.
  11. There are loads of guys with similar performances who did nothing in the NFL.
  12. That same sort of "eyeball test" got the 49ers Trey Lance.
  13. Johnson might bring Mark Brunell. Brian Johnson has never even called plays.
  14. I have no problem with drafting a quarterback, but trading up would be expensive. There's nobody in this particular draft I'd give up those kinds of resources for.
