  1. I think pretty much everybody loves Ron, the person. People only ever had a beef with Ron, the head coach.
  2. I had a friend in Ohio who used to lose hundreds of dollars on a regular basis. He always lied to his wife about where the money went. Don't know how he got away with it but he usually did.
  3. Rivera's been head coach of two teams, both of whom had sketchy owners. One is out. The other might be. Wonder if other sketchy owners would be scared to hire him
  4. Nah. He just had a bigger bank account than almost every other owner at the time. That's changed with Rob Walton joining the club of course, but the Broncos were required to go to the highest bidder per a stipulation in Pat Bowlen's will. Richardson had no legal condition like that (and isn't dead). It's funny because as I recall, the NFL told Michael Rubin he'd better be prepared to spend 5 billion or he might as well just drop out of the race. The team ended up going for a little more than half of that. They absolutely wanted Tepper.
  5. Richardson cooperated. (or capitulated, depending on how you look at it)
  6. Multiple reports have said this is something that David Tepper was counting on, so it's a bit of a defeat for him.
  7. Been reported that he and the Browns are done with each other no matter what happens with Watson. Brissett is the backup.
  8. Or bait... I remember some years back, Atlanta famously leaked a fake offer to Charles Johnson. Marty Hurney responded with a crazy offer that Johnson jumped at. Later came out that the Falcons weren't serious. Not sure Fitterer's old Seattle colleagues would try to do him that way but you never know.
  9. Mentioned this in the thread about Jaylon Ferguson too. Goose was always fun on the sidelines or in NFL films. Really hate to hear this...
  10. Bad day for the Ravens family Goose was a lot of fun to watch as an analyst. He was also the guy behind that infamous "truck" giveaway during a Panthers preseason game.
  11. He didn't say they let him do anything, but you can accidentally see and hear a lot of things just walking around law offices. (my brother and his wife both worked for attorneys) What he signed sounds like a "just in case" type document.
  12. Disagree. Kuechly said Holcomb was great, even after being pissed that his original coach Warren Belin got fired. Holcomb was also the guy in charge of coaching Jeremy Chinn his rookie year.
  13. This is (or at least was) a thread about a young man who died tragically. No details are as yet known about how he died, so anything suggested is pure speculation. Not sure how it came to this
  14. I'd keep Holcomb. He was Kuechly's linebacker coach.
  15. Al Holcomb already has that title. So does Jeff Nixon.
  16. Unknown, but I have a hard time believing Rhule is going to allow anybody to overstep Phil Snow.
  17. Only real hope I see there is someone like Wilks stepping in. But Snow is one of Rhule's "untouchables" so I don't know if that can happen.
