Is Walker even going to make the roster this year? I'd like to hope the answer is no but then I remember who our coach is

Jonathan Jones says we've made Cleveland "the best offer". Not sure I like the sound of that.

They added a good DT, some defensive backs and a couple of linebackers. Also acquired a very good secondary coach and a defensive line coach who probably should have retired about 10 to 15 years ago. The coordinator is still a college guy whose schemes got easily figured out last year and he wasn't able to adjust. Improved? There's a chance but it's definitely not guaranteed.

General belief at least is that he's not all powerful anymore, though he still technically has final say. The most common description of the situation we've seen is that he's now listening to and deferring more to others, for what that's worth. I also think the addition of Dan Morgan makes a difference. How much will it mean if he thinks a decision will have an effect on his job? That's probably the operative question.

I really don't see any of that happening.

Know how I know you didn't watch the games? The defense last season was good for about three games, got exposed and then looked like dog sh-t for the rest of the year.

Fitterer is the guy who repeatedly said the best path was to take a young quarterback and build around him. Not sure I buy that he's the one pushing for Mayfield.

Person added this comment regarding Tepper possibly not wanting to add another veteran like Mayfield... In fact, after the Panthers traded up to take Corral in the third round a couple of days after David Tepper’s comments about being patient through a rebuild, it makes sense that Tepper doesn’t want to spend much more on another quarterback who probably won’t get the Panthers any closer to a Super Bowl.

Possible. Either way, if Tepper comes out of this looking like a bad faith negotiator, it complicates any future requests he might try to make for public money.

(rent free in his head) See, our friend here has been told he's in danger of getting banned for spamming the same bullsh-t into every thread (Tepper this, Tepper that, dumb questions, unsupported statements, claims about reporters, etc) yet he still continues. Even stated recently that he feels like it's his mission to defend David Tepper on this board (as if Tepper would give a sh-t). I've told him before how he can tone it down and not get himself banned, but he doesn't choose to listen.
