  1. I think he's better than that. I remember watching a game where he and Lamar Jackson duked it out to the the bitter end. He played really well in that game. I'm certainly not a huge fan, but I don't think he's bad.
  2. Only fair to point out here...Joe was right.
  3. Arm? Not a problem Balls? Not a problem Brains? Eeehhh, we'll see. Certainly hoping that McAdoo and Ryan can bring down those interception numbers.
  4. I think we're more likely to get Johnny Lawrence
  5. You just described my dad. Used to buy that disgusting Caffeine-Free Coke. Everybody in the family hated it (including him) but it was cheaper
  6. It's quite a collection. Jameis Winston, New Orleans Saints, 1st overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft... Marcus Mariota, Atlanta Falcons, 2nd overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft... Baker Mayfield, Carolina Panthers, 1st overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft Sam Darnold, Carolina Panthers, 3rd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft Blaine Gabbert, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 10th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft Andy Dalton, New Orleans Saints, 35th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft Desmond Ridder, Atlanta Falcons, 74th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft Matt Corral, Carolina Panthers, 94th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft ... Oh, and that Brady guy
  7. At this point, I don't really think there are too many of us left who have high expectations of Rhule or his strategic planning.
  8. I mean, I get that he's delusional, but continuing to make that prediction after we've traded for Mayfield? That would take dedication. Or medication... (or a lack thereof)
  9. It's very possible. Hell, I'd forgotten who the Falcons have now. Had to look it up
  10. But like I told LG elsewhere, at least the guy who's constantly predicting Newton is coming back and having an MVP season is probably gonna be down for the count after this.
  11. Well, there's swinging like Babe Ruth and there's swinging like Mighty Casey...
  12. Didn't say it was a good plan... Either way, I don't think Rhule has a lot of faith in rookie QBs. His comments about Fields last year were a clue to that. Par for the course, it's a checkers move in a chess game.
  13. My favorite quote from that bit is DJ Moore asking "Did you fail animals?"
  14. I think the main priority right now is to save Matt Rhule's ass. (at least according to Matt Rhule)
  15. Side Note: The goofball who kept creating new screen names just to come back and predict that we'd sign Cam Newton and he'd have an MVP season might finally have to tap out now
  16. Dumped Cam Newton... Signed Teddy Bridgewater... Signed (and kept) PJ Walker... Traded for Sam Darnold... Traded away Teddy Bridgewater... Passed on the 2021 draft options... Did everything in our power to stupidly pursue Deshaun Watson... Drafted Matt Corral... And today, Baker Mayfield. I'm dizzy now
  17. Dude making a prediction of something not happening all but guarantees that it will
  18. This guy nailed it As did this one... On the flipside, damn! Double damn Oy
  19. I think we traded for somebody. Probably not a big deal
  20. He was on the Garoppolo train, I think. Also pretty sure he predicted there was no way Cleveland would give up Mayfield because they needed him in case of Watson's suspension
  21. I'm not comfortable using wins and losses to judge individual players in a team sport. Coaches and GMs? Yeah (with a few qualifications) but not individual players...including quarterbacks.
  22. I'm not going to make a decision like that based on stats, or win-loss record. I want to see how he plays.
  23. Nobody is against winning. What people fear is a short-term flash in the pan leading to an extended investment that turns out to not be worth it. Imagine, for example, that we had given Sam Darnold a big extension based on the first four games of last year. Heck, it wouldn't be the first time it happened to this team. Jerry Richardson gave Dom Capers a ten year guaranteed contract extension based on the 1996 season and look what happened after that. A lot of people don't believe in Matt Rhule and could very easily see a similar thing happening with him. (I'm one of them)
