  1. Didn't they have Zappe in for a pre-draft visit?
  2. What struck me most was his line about wanting to come away with two or three good players in this draft. He referred to last year as their "numbers draft" and said they want this year to be a "quality draft". It really does sound like they want to trade up, but making it happen with the limited resources they have is still going to be a challenge.
  3. Again, you're citing an example of a coaching change (not a firing but still a change). Bottom line though, for a scheme like ours you want a Drew Brees style quarterback. That's not Willis. And then benches him for Darnold...
  4. We all thought TMJ was an Anderson replacement. I suppose he still could be.
  5. That was on defense, and on Tepper's suggestion (didn't go particularly well). Changing offenses is waaaay more complicated than changing defensive alignments. Really don't see McAdoo switching just to take a second round quarterback.
  6. Of note, Fitterer was quoted as saying that they don't necessarily need a number of players so much as they need good players. That sounds like a trade up.
  7. Worth remembering, left guard is generally considered to be the easiest position to play on the O-Line.
  8. Just mentioned by Chris McClain...
  9. Schemes don't generally change unless someone gets fired. Nobody's making draft plans around the notion that they might get fired.
  10. I think Fitterer would have loved to have gotten a QB in the first but the way things fell, it just didn't make sense.
  11. Seahawks run the same kind of scheme we do. Lions? I don't know. Not sure where they pick, but honestly the first team who comes to mind that's likely running the kind of playbook Willis would work best in is Rivera's Washington team with Scott Turner at OC. Heaven knows Rivera's familiar with that style of play.
  12. I'm not so sure. They said last year they really didn't want to part with their first, second and third rounders, and they didn't. This year they say they don't want to part with any of their future picks, and given what it most likely feels like sitting here with no picks till the fourth, I think I believe them.
  13. His profile doesn't really suit what we do here, though. You want Willis to be a success in the NFL, there are two things that should happen: One, as has been said many times, he needs to go to a team where he can sit for a year or so before having to start. Two, he'd be better served going to a team that runs a big play, Coryell style offense that would take more of an advantage of what he does well. A timing and rhythm offense isn't a good fit for him.
  14. The social media team is having some fun with this... Wouldn't mind some IHOP right now.
  15. And you hand him over to one of the best line coaches in the game...
  16. And some people question if he'll even be ready to start this year.
  17. What the hell is Goodell wearing around his neck?
  18. Hang on ..Is Jackson arguing with his own team's social media crew?
  19. That kid looks like somebody glued a small face on a large head
  20. We have people on here who'd want us to take that approach
  21. Dan Morgan and Joe Schoen are friends. (not that that would have played into the draft choices)
