That's him. Word was he started some fights.

Who in the hell is Mel Kiper?
-
I'm guessing at some point here we'll all start actually talking more about Malik Willis
-
Odd as it sounds, statistically speaking quarterbacks that run a lot tend to take more sacks. I remember back when Vick was playing he often either led the league in sacks taken or at least was near the top.
-
Aaahhh, Theisman. Total dick but he sure could pass I was watching when LT broke his leg. Yikes
-
This is the guy who watches horror movies the night before a game to get himself in "the right mindset". He'd probably make a good Hell's Angel.

"Mobile" doesn't equal "dual threat". Joe Burrow is capable of moving in the pocket, but I don't think any DC in the league is going to worry about game planning against him running. That's my line for who constitutes a dual threat. If defenses actually have to scheme around the possibility of them running, that to me is a dual threat. Running around to scramble and throw a pass shows mobility, but doesn't make you a run threat. Occasionally running when needed doesn't either. There are a lot of quarterbacks who can do that but they don't necessarily scare anybody. By that definition, there aren't really that many dual threats in the league right now.

This discussion highlights part of the problem you always run into when you talk about this topic. Everybody uses different terms to describe different types of quarterbacks. You have to be clear what you mean or misunderstandings occur.

As in "Who in the hell is Mel Killer Jr"? A load of people still remember that moment years later.

Observation: Panthers want to Draft a QB but...

Rhule still has final say though... -
Balance and body control, which is definitely impressive for a guy that large. It primarily means that he'll have a good solid base while he's punching you in the head

I vaguely remember Kilmer and Jurgenson. Pretty sure Jurgenson was nearing the end of his career when I started watching. Kilmer was around a little longer.
-
Technically he was (Auburn, if I recall correctly). He chose to transfer to Liberty after not winning the starting job there.
-
Doesn't bother me, honestly. I'm not really interested in quarterback 40 times.

Post Mortem on the Watson Trade (from Albert Breer)

They came closer to making the playoffs last year than we did. -
No one from Seattle? The others I get because they all have quarterbacks, but the Seahawks not being there is weird.
-
I'm less sure about Murray, especially after that playoff disaster and his quote about not needing to watch film.
-
Who's arguing? We're talking about running quarterbacks vs dual threat quarterbacks. It's a very civil discussion and nobody's angry.
-
I've put it this way before... Can run and pass = Gold Can pass = Silver Can run but not pass = Fool's Gold

The past doesn't really matter. Objectively speaking, Cleveland is way closer to being a Super Bowl team then we are right now. He's not wrong about that. -

And that after basically chasing him for a year. It's all pretty embarrassing. -
As far as ability, Rodgers is one of the most phenomenal quarterbacks I've ever seen. He is also a colossal a--hole.
-
I don't like the term "running" or "rushing" quarterback because I associate that with quarterbacks who can only threaten you with their legs and not their arms. Elway, Young and Staubach were true dual threat quarterbacks. Wilson I would consider a pretty capable runner but as someone else mentioned, most of his running is done to set up a pass. Montana? I'd probably consider him about as much of a rushing threat as Jake Delhomme, but even Delhomme and our own Sam Darnold have shown they can rush from time to time.
-
Nothing against Drummond but I'm not sure why he'd be at a pro day other than to just watch. He doesn't have a scouting background. Okay, one thing against him. He was part of the group that decided to hire Matt Rhule

I place the primary blame for Super Bowl 50 on coaching. For one, despite the lesson that the Falcons had taught us just a few weeks before, Rivera decided not to change anything or throw any new wrinkles in. That was dumb. Second, and this is absolutely insane, the story came out not that long ago that Rivera actually did tell somebody to get Mike Remmers some help, but nobody ever did. How the hell does that happen? Eh, I should probably stop talking about it because this is a sore spot
