    The other two names courtesy of Panthers.com... Also in for the week are safety Tenny Adewusi and wide receiver/return man Rashard Davis. Adewusi went to Giants camp in 2019 and was in the XFL in 2020, while Davis played in one game for the Titans, and has spent time on the practice squads of the Eagles, Raiders, and Chiefs as well.

    Just saw that. Second and third rounders are still unsigned. I'm wondering if that gets done within the next few days too.

    Getzenberg pointed out that Panthers secondary coach Jason Simmons previously coached Clinton-Dix in Green Bay. That may have helped him get the tryout here. Mind you, it won't necessarily help him make the team.

    For the record, some Panther fans aren't exactly big fans of TJ Yeldon because of what happened with Luke back when he was a Jaguar.

    Oh sure. It's always wise to sign a guy based on how good he was for part of a season three years ago. We'll just ignore that he couldn't even make the final roster for the Cowboys (or anybody else) all of last year.

    The thing about Smith is if you want him to be successful in this role, you need to partner him with somebody who knows how to work with his personality. Taylor Zarzour is someone who can do that.

    Technically he didn't "look bad" on the Cowboys defense last year. He didn't make the team.

    I won't claim to know, but I have found that in the majority of cases like this the simple answer turns out to be that the player just wasn't actually as good as we thought he was.

    Granted, but our previous solution would have been to sign a guy like Tre Boston. I'm hoping for better now.

    According to Alaina Getzenberg, the Panthers can actually bring in up to five try out players this week same as during rookie minicamp. She believes they'll bring in a full complement, so we'll likely be hearing other names as well.

    I looked him up. He was signed by the Cowboys last offseason (reunited with former Packers coach Mike McCarthy) but he didn't make the final roster. He was apparently available all last year but nobody picked him up. That's probably not a good sign
