Alan "Blue Balls" Ball leaves Panther offer on table
Mr. Scot replied to CubsWin's topic in Carolina Panthers
She looks like a real bi...Nah, I can't do it -
Yep. And on gameday, we have a subset that's always ready to declare defeat as soon as the opponent scores (even if we scored first). Plus you have the crowd that annually declares the offseason a failure if we haven't thrown a jillion dollars at somebody they saw on Sportscenter within the first hour. That same crowd will probably be screaming that every pick we make on Draft Day is a mistake. Throw in the people who predict 0-16 after the first half of one quarter of preseason play. Sheesh

So Whatever Happened to That DB We Drafted from WV?

So you're saying most of his posts are trash? -

Might have wanted more money or a longer contract. Still not bothered. I'm okay either way. Worth remembering that more than one guy who left without signing last year eventually signed. -

Actually as i recall it was Jordan Gross, speaking on local radio, who hinted that he had a poor work ethic. Gross seemed to think he wasn't working as hard as he should have been to get back on the field. (pretty sure it was discussed on here around that time) -
From the Observer story (link) And from David Newton... Pretty sure he'll sign.

Who just shockingly retired. (shocking because few people actually realized he was still in it) -
I actually think he'll be signed. It's just taking longer than we're used to.

Who died and made you NCPsa10?

Hogan? Long gone (lousy work ethic). -
Forgot Dickson. You're right. I think he's the only one though. (Olsen wasn't a free agent)
-
I'm not even sure the Saints can sign their rookie class for that, especially given they've traded for extra picks.

Nobody yet has gotten more than two years. It'd have to be a pretty low salary.

I'm not sure anybody screwed it up (other than the people who reported it as done). If he's got other options, he might just be taking his time and making sure he makes the best decision. I wouldn't fault him for that. Plus, if Person is right, he isn't actually in two (just his agent). If he ultimately signs here, cool. If not, we move on. -
Not 'free agent' news, but NFL news. Stop me if you've heard this one... Aaron Wilson @RavensInsider ยท 3s 3 seconds ago Former NFL safety and accused serial rapist Darren Sharper charged with rape in Las Vegas

I wouldn't put too much stock into him getting that either. The reality for Nicks is that he signed a "prove it' deal last year and then didn't 'prove' much of anything. If he's looking to catch on somewhere this year, he probably needs to lower his expectations.
-
I don't think anybody is gonna give Hakeem Nicks a three year, twelve million dollar contract. Definitely know we won't.

I saw that, but literally every other source says it isn't a done deal yet. Even Aaron Wilson, the guy who first reported it, now says it's still pending. And I know what people think of Joe Person, but according to him Ball wasn't even in town yesterday so he couldn't have signed anything. I still think it will happen, but preponderance of evidence says it hasn't happened yet. -

It's still not confirmed anywhere yet. -

I have no idea whether the guy who posted this is legit, but I'll make a general statement... What do people think they have to gain from posting fake 'insider' news? Oh, so you got a little bit of attention. That's great for ya...until the big 'insider tip' you gave everybody turns out to be bulls--t. Now you've cemented a rep for being a liar and a poser. From this point on, nobody will listen to you or take your opinion seriously. And heck, maybe you did have something to say, but it doesn't matter now. Nobody's interested. That's okay, though. At least you got a few minutes of attention on the internet, right?
