  1. Ouch Richardson has plenty of talent, but availability has been an issue with him thus far. Apparently, it may continue to be one this coming season. That story drew this response... ...which hopefully doesn't jinx us Valid point, though...
  2. It resulted in a conversation I didn't really expect
  3. Editorial control... Some fans might prefer a raw footage, "warts and all" approach over something more team controlled. Of course, you've also got fans (like me) whose only question is "does it involve football?"
  4. My dad once told me (in great detail) about how the most beautiful women he'd ever seen were from New Orleans. I told him that I didn't really care to hear my 60-year-old dad talking about women other than my mom
  5. Basically a hard-nosed, no-nonsense player / coach type working with a colossal football nerd whose spreadsheets could probably tell you what a player's favorite breakfast cereal was at a gven age ("my analysis shows that around age seven or so he started to prefer Cheerios; had a brief flirtation with Corn Flakes but it didn't stick")
  6. Meanwhile, at an OL in the Midwest... That's gotta hurt
  7. How many teams in recent years won championships following that method? It's ben a good trend.
  8. Pretty sure nobody's expecting to hear me complain about prioritizing large men who are also ugly... ...nor should they be.
  9. For what it's worth, there is a coaching connection here. During three of his years in Los Angeles, Panthers DC Ejiro Evero was a secondary coach on staff. As I recall (vaguely) Ramsey and Evero have each spoken highly of the other.
  10. Extremely difficult (damn near impossible) to do a complete front office overhaul in a single offseason. On top of that though - and perhaps more important - you don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Not everybody sucks. (mind you, I do think this last move successfully rid us of one who did)
  11. I hated that too. And I'm not interested in any "player safety" bullsh-t coming from a league that keeps trying to add more games and refuses to prioritize grass playing surfaces.
  12. He's ranked ahead of some pretty decent names. I didn't honestly think Center was the most ideal spot for him (still not sure) but that's cool. Yeah...ugh
  13. That, to me, is the key point of the whole thing. Both teams ended up with their choice of franchise quarterback. The question is who got the better of the two. Yes, they were given more tools to build with, but what did they do with them? That argument will play out over the next several seasons.
  14. If they felt like it was a "too many cooks" situation, bringing in somebody new would defeat the purpose. Morgan's title certainly makes it sound like he's the man now as far as football decisions go. It's been said that Morgan is an old school "watch film" scout where Fitterer had embraced a more analytics style approach. That could mean things are being reshaped to fit what Morgan prefers (not to say analytics will be abandoned, mind you). And of course, there's the addition of Tilis. Hard not to imagine he's had a voice in all this. Especially true given he's the second most powerful name on the org chart. Between the two of them, Morgan and Tilis are certainly acquainted with some "rock stars" or potential rock stars in the scouting world. Still, If they feel they have the people necessary to do the job right now, that's good.
