  1. How do you think those guys got their experience?
  2. The Texans GM took an "indefinite leave for health reasons" a few years ago too. He wound up replaced.
  3. I think Wilks would do it without any issues. He's not a big ego guy.
  4. Ellis quotes Albert Breer's thoughts on the subject... As mentioned before, staffing is gonna be a really big deal.
  5. Scott Turner is another OC possibility if Rivera is canned in Snyderland. I don't know how hot his chair is though. It's hard to read that mess.
  6. My guess would be someone from a fired staff. He has a prior connection to Pep Hamilton but his OC work this past season was uninspiring (to say the least). Ditto Leftwich if Todd Bowles is dumped.
  7. Darnold had more rushing TDs than anyone through the first few weeks of last year and a very long run in our last game.
  8. Rhule creates situations others have to fix.
  9. Neither of those is happening. That was reported previously but later superceded by a report that he's seen how the league is trending and wants a young offensive mind instead.
  10. So we've asked a generic question about Wilks versus whomever this morning, but I think it would be helpful to better define the "whomever". If not Wilks, then who do we see as viable alternative candidates? A couple of names I would start out with... - Shane Steichen - Frank Reich - Ben Johnson - Shane Waldron - Demeco Ryans (not necessarily all my preferred choices but viable options nonetheless) What are the arguments for choosing one of these guys...or someone else?
  11. Someone else mentioned that this season has been kind of crazy, and they're right. Augusta Stone gives her take here... But also... There have been positives negatives, etc, but you sure as shootin' can't say it hasn't been interesting. Hell of a ride, and it ain't over yet...
  12. Last we heard from Tepper, he did seem to indicate that he knew how badly he'd screwed up with trying to do things his way.
  13. If Wilks gets the job, the most critical element to success is going to be his staffing, especially on the offensive side of the ball. He'll need to resist some of his instincts and think outside the box a little.
  14. Same. Can't really compare a generic coach, and we haven't seen how anybody finishes the season yet.
