  1. That particular illustration would work a lot better with Scot McCloughan than Scott Fitterer.
  2. I would. So would Schefter. Since we know the release was done at his request, I'm going to guess he talked to his agent to try engage what level of interest there would be before going with it.
  3. I always cringe at that phrase. Any suggestion that "this should happen solely because of that" is kind of dumb because it ignores the body of work. That said, all reports confirm the fifth year option was Fitterer's decision so he owns it. Of course, St. Bugs told me I need to be skeptical of these reports. Somehow I think he's gonna find a reason to believe this one though
  4. And that's probably in fitting with the spirit of the question. Problem is everybody was so bad you have to do at least some level of mental gymnastics call anybody "best".
  5. Depends on how you look at the question. If I were to ask myself, which of this bunch would I most trust to lead the team right now, the answer would probably be Heinicke. Truth be told, they all come with qualifiers. For example, if you wanted to look at what quarterback had the best performance, I'd actually say it was Sam Darnold...if you only counted his first four games.
  6. Said elsewhere, I wasn't a huge fan of the Mayfield trade but I went into it expecting both more attitude and better on field performance than we ultimately got. I'd probably have been okay with him being more of an ass if he'd have performed in the games.
  7. Like a lot of folks, I expected Mayfield to be a bit of a headache, but he never really was. Mind you, I didn't expect him to look as awful on the field as he did either
  8. I've honestly not had any problems with NFL Plus. Sounds like a lot of other folks have.
  9. Also, how soon before this becomes a meme?
  10. From what I've read, not many people think he'll make it to the 49ers. Some folks aren't really sure they'll even put in a claim.
  11. No, but you do wish Fitterer was really to blame for stuff so he could get fired too. Hell, you seemed practically giddy about the idea not that long ago. People reporting from actual sources has kinda put a damper on that though
  12. Understood. Some do, and given that we've been engaging in draft talk for a while now I think it's forgivable.
  13. Someone tweeted that coming back from a deficit like that with so little time left has happened only three times and something like five hundred plus games. Congrats to the Saints...
  14. Don't need to explain your narrative since you already give me the favor of alluding to it in your second (massive) paragraph. Person, Charles Robinson, John Ellis, Ellis Williams and Mike Kaye have all stated the same or similar things. The consensus is pretty much universal that it was Matt Rhule making the quarterback decisions. But hey, those guys with actual sources sure aren't fooling you now, are they?
  15. Now you're revising history. So apparently the real reason for your skepticism is it contradicts your narrative.
