  1. Phil Snow against Kyle Shanahan isnt a matchup that gives me good feelings.
  2. Bring him back this year and he's still under Rhule, with Ben McAdoo as his OC.
  3. At least in part because year three was supposed to be the big, magical turnaround. FYI: Our next three games are against the 49ers, Rams and Bucs. We've also got the Bengals, Lions and Ravens down the road. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that third year miracle is probably not happening.
  4. The following game as well... If the primary problem is not knowing the playbook, then how does someone look worse after having more time to learn it and practice it? Sorry but the logic doesn't check out.
  5. FYI: Johnson's offense put up 45 points against Seattle yesterday. Sadly for the Lions, the defense gave up 48. (DC Aaron Glenn is under some pretty heavy criticism right now)
  6. At this point, I have a really tough time imagining any scenario where Rhule isn't fired.
  7. Rumor is that Burns doesn't want to stay (at least not under Rhule). Even setting that aside though, he's likely still a better fit for a 3-4 team.
  8. Look up his stats for the Miami game the following week (or the one the week after that) and you'll see why people question him. I know the argument is that he can come in and look good even not knowing the playbook, but the counter argument is that the longer he plays, the worse he looks. He doesn't have an extended run in him anymore.
  9. That tweet is timestamped fairly early in the game. And yeah, I saw a little bit of those things. I specifically remember calling out a pre-snap motion to Lady Cowboy Fan. But yeah, overall it's still pretty bad.
  10. Probably this guy... Rhule was reported to have really wanted Henderson in the draft. Apparently when things went south in Jacksonville, he saw it as a chance to poach him.
  11. Damn, Mahomes is fun to watch.
  12. Navarro was the guy the Richardson family wanted. I kinda wondered if he was going to continue to let them have a voice in how the team was run.
  13. Changing who calls the plays might not change much if itstill the same playbook. The play designs stink too.
  14. Hurney and Rivera were reported to have been ready to offer Newton a big extension. David Tepper nixed the idea.
  15. As a side note, honoring the legacy of Sam Mills with this game is like saluting the legacy of Ernest Hemingway by dedicating a novel from The Twilight Series to his memory.
  16. Until Rhule is fired, nothing like this is gonna happen.
  17. It's not just his height. Word was his old coach Kevin Stefanski had figured out something about his placement / throwing motion that could be exploited. He demonstrated that in Week 1. I'd say other teams may have studied that and caught on. (or figured it out on their own)
  18. Who's he gonna replace him with? Jeff Nixon? We've been that route.
  19. No, we wouldn't. A quarterback isn't enough to overcome this coaching staff.
  20. They're not that good. Good personnel maybe, but not good coaching. Honestly, that's most of the team.
