  1. The Bengals/Panthers is interesting. They are banged up and Andy will be motivated.
  2. I had a moment before he played in the NFL where I had a lot of doubt about Lawrence. He had some quotes in an SI interview that made me wonder how much he actually loved football. It's tough to be elite at QB and not be a maniac about playing the sport, IMO. I don't know that he has that extra gear.
  3. Sir, this is an outlandish take thread. You take your reasonable opinions and hit the road.
  4. The fact that the entire line looks so much better speaks to how much of a dumpster fire our 2023 season was.
  5. Yeah, those were both supporting blockers that fuged those up. That seemed pretty obvious.
  6. Yeah, this is an insanely stupid idea. It's one thing to tote a bust #1 overall pick at a rookie salary, it's another to tote a below average NFL starter at a top 10 contract price. This sounds like something David Tepper would come up with.
  7. Daniels was my clear #1 QB from this class.
  8. Well he is still our best all around WR. Even at his reduced abilities. Mingo and XL are utterly incapable of replacing the experience and technical ability that he has.
  9. I think you stopped reading here during his first two years in the league.
  10. How can you confirm this based on a very limited sample? This sounds similar to TMJ and Mingo takes about this far into their careers.
  11. It sucks a lot but we need to evaluate the younger guys and see what we have. If they end up being nothing, we need to pivot again at WR in the offseason.
  12. Not sure he is a bad QB but ultimately he is a backup on a good team. Looking at him as a savior is just foolish.
  13. If he comes at the right price, why not keep him around while the rest of the team is being built? Make this a good place for a rookie QB to even be able to develop at all. Or make it an attractive option for a FA QB.
  14. Ah yes, the weekly "pining after a backup QB" post game thread. What's the counter at? About 82 straight games?
  15. Yeah, I wouldn't get my hopes up on Brooks for the first half of the season. If he can make it back by the second half of 2024, that will work.
  16. I would say we move from 2-3 games won to 4-6. In Oct. and early Nov. we have a chance to string together some wins but not a lot of opportunities after that.
  17. I don't expect excellence, I expect competence. With competence, I can buy into a future for us. I can see that there is a chance.
  18. I suspect Dalton will get dinged up eventually and Bryce will play again. I don't expect the results for Bryce to improve much. He needs a lot of time on the pine getting his head straight.
  19. If things continue to go fairly well(there will not be many repeats of today), we should try and keep Dalton. Obviously that will have a cost associated with it.
  20. I mean, I was a Bryce stan so I can't say much. But, I was clearly wrong. I do think the Panthers ate a big factor in his failure but we didn't make him be a limited ceiling guy. That was all him.
  21. Almost all news of all varieties has moved to hot takes and disinformation. But, in this case, it's we the people that are 100% at fault. Instead of shunning this crap, people tuned in and ratings/revenue rose. They figured out the more upset people got, the more they watched. I am lucky enough that I saw through this crap early on and never consumed this type of horseshit.
