  1. The "upside" is why I am down on Morgan. That was Fitterer 101. Upside, upside and more upside with a healthy helping of raw and undeveloped. Early returns from this class are a little mixed(2nd round pick is turning out very badly) but it's going to be 2025 and onward to know if he knows what he is doing or is Fit 2.0.
  2. I would go a step further and say I won't be upset about losing until 2027 if the FO and staff remains the same. What I want to see is vastly more competent roster building and talent evaluation. Also growth from Canales as a HC. If I see incremental gains over the next 2 offseasons and steadily improved results, I can live with that. It's a very, very, VERY massive hole we still have to dig out of to reach winning football.
  3. 100%. We are a very long ways from being a contending team and a substantial distance from being a winning team. People continue to underestimate how terrible this roster is(and was before the season even started). I have no idea how they keep their heads so firmly in the sand on this. It's perplexing. As you said, we have to even get to the point where we are competent enough to even draft well. I am extremely skeptical of that. We will see what happens.
  4. I mean, we can put a TE back there, another RB, or even another OL. There are ways to get this accomplished but we have to want to do it. The biggest issue I see is that Canales cares less about designing the most effective gameplan than largely running the scheme the way he wants it. That could be problematic going forward. It's not that we aren't a decent enough offense in some ways but we sometimes ignore our strengths for long stretches.
  5. Yeah but that is how you control the pace of the game, wear them down and break up their rhythm. Remember when Wilks did this? That should be what a lot of our gameplans against teams like Atlanta look like. They have bad run defense. Punish them for that. poo, Atlanta wants to pass too but they were smart enough to keep punishing our bad rush defense.
  6. Sanders I was down on too but I am losing sight of an important point, as well. He's a fourth round pick. He really shouldn't be expected to be much more than a backup player and his blocking appears to be much improved from his time at Texass. Brooks I really care very little about for this year. Chuba is doing very well so Brooks is not needed. If he is healthy, fine. If not, there is no rush.
  7. .....should be getting a minimum of _________ carries per game. I'll start: 20
  8. This is dumb. Our rookies need to be evaluated since we invested so heavily in offense. This is impossible starting Bryce. He should not see the field again this year barring injury. The focus should be on guys like Legette, Sanders, Coker, etc.
  9. I don't agree that we have to have one to develop. We don't ever develop those guys anyway, so what is the point of forcing that issue? Additionally, there are ample cast-off younger veteran QB's that are available every offseason if it's some strange requirement to have one(it isn't).
  10. I am fine going the rotating journeyman route for a while. This team needs to be built. We aren't even anywhere near the point of a rookie QB being able to come in here and immediately be successful. We need to focus on building out a non-UFL roster and then when this ship is headed in the right direction we can start worrying about our QB of the future.
  11. I would really rather not be using a second on a likely 2nd/3rd string QB. Not with the current holes we have. Our 2nd round pick needs to be a day one starter.
  12. I think it won't be a massive blowout because the Falcons will do the smart thing and run early and often.
  13. Well in his 4 year Jacksonville career he averaged 18.25 tackles per season. He is very literally, just a guy.
  14. Yeah, someone at the bar was beside themselves over the lack of flag and I basically had to explain that to him. Tremble was the one that initiated the dangerous hit. It sucks but it just is what it is.
  15. "Hurting pockets" is hard in the NFL because the overwhelming majority of the profits are from TV deals. The stadium revenues don't make up a substantial portion of the overall. It's more about perception and making him look foolish. He has proven how thin skinned he is so watching him get drug in the media isn't nothing.
  16. I would add that I don't want to ultimately reward Tepper's BS by going to these games, buying food/drinks/merch/etc. Let those stands be empty, let them be filled with opposing fans. Let him have to visibly see that the fanbase does not support what he has done to our franchise. fug it, let him get jawed at by Falcons fans and resort to another chuck a drink and run move.
  17. No offense but you are a bottom 5 credible poster.
  18. If need be, I can trial some IPTV options to get you guys off Bally. Whatever it takes to ensure they don't get a dime.
  19. Kevin....you hurt me. Let's hold that cuck TB line to zero. fug them.
  20. Thank God I travel and don't have to deal with this Bally horseshit. If I had the ability to stream these games from afar to you guys, I would. Never in a million years should you support those *****.
  21. Belichick kind of proved that as great as he was, he is a low caliber talent evaluator and cannot easily win without a generational QB. The poor talent evaluator is the biggest reason I would not be interested in BB.
  22. If you didn't know that Scott Fitterer was gone but just solely looked at his orevious drafts and 2024, you would never know he left.
