  1. You are barking up the wrong tree. I was the guy that was pissed we signed him to the contract we did. It had nothing to do with him being great or not great. It's the modern NFL. Only utter fools pay RB's big money. As for All Time greats, notice that he isn't on many people's lists here. Perhaps that has more to do with the time periods being vastly different or maybe the people that actually watched all of the Panthers seasons without any recency bias actually do remember Double Trouble and how dominant that duo was for many years.
  2. He maxed out his abilities. Some people just don't have it.
  3. How is overreaction even possible? Am I missing something? Are we not expected to the the worst team in the NFL by pundits and our fans alike? Our season is a success based on it having some level of cohesion and possibly our offseason moves not looking like a fuging disaster. That's my take. At least at that rate we have hope the Top 5 draft pick will be something that will help and some potential light at the end of this tunnel.
  4. I am fine with anyone that is okay losing preseason games. I can't stress enough how basically only people fighting for roster spots and apparently Huddle posters actually care about this.
  5. I don't care about preseason wins or losses. I can't imagine why in the world anyone would. The preseason is solely for player evaluation. This coaching staff has its evaluation on our starters for better or worse. I will start caring about any of this on Sept. 8th.
  6. I don't care about the history of preseason. That's not anything even the most autistic stat nerd cares about. Good luck with your crusade.
  7. They are meaningless for everyone that isn’t just trying to make a roster. We just aren't going to agree on this issue. I mostly have never nor will likely ever care much about preseason. Especially after the 17th game was added and probably when it goes to 18 and there are only two.
  8. Preseason is meaningless. Ask any of the umtpeen veterans who have publicly stated this hundreds of times over the past 20+ years. It. Doesn't. Matter.
  9. He gave a nothing answer. I just don't see why anyone cares about this even remotely. His answer or him playing. It's one of the biggest non-issue issues the Huddle has drug up.
  10. That's literally openly beefing with your coaches. That's very stupid.
  11. I mean, this is a standard answer. Not really sure what anyone expects other than this.
  12. There is no worry of getting a haul for Horn. On the trade market he has pretty limited value. No one is going to trade a haul for a guy as banged up as he is. TBH, we would be lucky to get much more than a third rounder. IMO, given out situation, we should just stick it out(assuming the price is right). The chances he gets healthy for long stretches of time might be small but we aren’t likely to find a better corner without utilizing another top 10 pick. Obviously we will have ample amounts of those in the coming years but CB isn't likely to be as high of a priority for a while, I would assume. Let's see how it plays out. Maybe he surprises everyone and actually stays healthy.
  13. This implies that he wasn't really injured those other times which is just demonstrably false. You can't "gut it out" on a major injury. It's not his call completely even if he wanted to. He will very likely miss significant time with injury this season. It just is what it is.
  14. The classic Panthers rookie WR for many years. Show one good year to get everyone hype, then immediately disappear. The current trend is just never show up in the first place. I actually miss the one year wonder guys.
  15. Really the reasons to trade him are basically that you don't think he will be healthy again, you get a great offer or he basically wants too much money. Outside of that, there is no urgency to doing this. Especially since it is extremely likely we would squander whatever picks we get. Look at the insane haul we got for CMC. Probably the most you will see a RB get in the next decade in terms of trade value. But, didn't matter because we promptly turned those picks over to complete idiots. That's another reason I don't really care to accumulate any more picks by trading players unless we just don't have any other option. Until we prove that we have an even slightly below average NFL FO, what exactly is the point?
  16. If they haven't gelled already, it's unlikely to happen before mid-season anyway. Not to mention I would go ahead and get used to the idea of that unit being banged up. Too many guys in that unit that are injury prone. People need to wrap their heads around the simple fact that this is going to be a very bad team. Nothing we are doing now in practice or in preseason is going to change that very much. The hopes are that we see an offense that there appears to be some coherent design or logic at work, some of our offseason moves actually worked out and our younger players show some progression. If none of that happens, literally nothing in this season will matter in any way at all.
  17. It's pretty much splitting hairs because 8 or so games of "being healthy" isn't going to change his injury prone label. A couple of seasons of being healthy would.
  18. There will be plenty of ammo to use in the "Bryce sucks" cannon once the real games start. I have no idea what the rush is in that regard. Who the fug cares about preseason anyway? Bunch of fuging vanilla playcalling and vanilla play. It's glorified practice.
  19. IDK if it's likely that they will be noticeably worse than last year. That's a very tough bar to have to squeeze under. I am more concerned that they really won't be meaningfully better than last year.
  20. Much ado about nothing. They are scrambling to salvage what they can from the worst group of backups in the NFL and are better off not losing any starters to preseason "games." This isn't going to have much impact on our season, regardless.
  21. CMC was here for too short of a time to make any "All Time Great" lists. He left as the fifth leading rusher. Most talented, for sure but this isn't a most talented list. It's an All Time Great list. CMC is unlikely to be remembered as a great Panther anyway. He is firmly a 49er and cares very little about being affiliated with this franchise.
  22. The value is low now. His stock won't get much of a hit from injuries anymore because he is already firmly in that category anyway.
