Holy Cross. The instances of small school(non-P5) top 15 picks are actually not rare. First round instances are less rare. You not knowing about prospects really isn't the fault of anyone but yourself. It's odd to poo on prognosticators for being actually informed when you very clearly have zero clue about college football.

The best CB in the last draft was from Toledo(saw him play live in the MAC championship game). It really doesn't make any sense to assume the caliber of player based on school.

There is no real risk of the Panthers turning this around. What we should hope to see is the team be competitive in most of the remaining games and the further development of our younger players(Coker, Sanders, Chuba, XL, Wallace, Ikey, Horn, etc). These are guys that we need to become a core that can be built around. And maybe some veterans like Wonnum show they can be a part of the future here.

People made way too much of Baker not being a good QB. He was a good QB in Cleveland for a while and in difficult conditions. He was never NOT going to be a starting caliber NFL QB. I am not surprised by how he is doing there because he has shown he can do this before. Panthers fans only see our disaster and assume it's the player that is at fault.

Eh....ride him until the wheels fall off. We need to focus on developing our other young players. Bryce's development is significantly lower on the priority list since he has conclusively proved he is not a starting NFL QB.

Stroud is the second most sacked in the NFL so far. They are most likely not a serious contender for that reason. The last time you saw something like that was the Burrow run but the Texans and Stroud are not nearly as good as that Cincy offense.
