  1. Don't love that price. I hope he can be above average. If not, this signing will hurt.
  2. Please be fuging cheap. Solid upgrade if we don't break the bank.
  3. So we are loading up with safeties that are mediocre in coverage but very good in run support? Could also fix the leaky front 7 so that isn't necessary. Just saying. Not a bad signing, just kind of a whatever signing. Bigger issues to fix that will have much bigger W/L impacts. It should mean Hamilton is off the board if we keep our draft pick in 2022.
  4. There is a difference between guys chasing money and guys chasing success.
  5. Plus good veterans aren't gonna want to come here. Also, if you haven't noticed a trend, Rhule doesn't like veterans.
  6. Good for him earning the big bucks. Very glad we aren't paying it.
  7. I know people want to believe this, but he isn't actually worth a 1st.
  8. Maybe all, maybe none, maybe somewhere in between. We will never actually know.
  9. The Saints driving up the price on us scares the poo out of me. Their front office is so much better than ours.
  10. I hope to see it. I hope to see it soon.
  11. Or just cash these checks for one more season. Then it will be whatever happens after Rhule is gone. I suspect our post-Rhule coach will get selected by Deshaun Watson, if Tepper wants him as badly as the rumor mill says.
  12. As bad as our starters are, I don't think our backups are going to prove to be much. It's easy to have the view that Rhule is hiding assets somewhere but the reality is that he is just terrible at talent evaluation. It's not that "X" starter is getting burn because he is a Rhule guy, it's that the other Rhule guy is even worse.
  13. We are just so accustomed to seeing dreadful OL play that we are grasping at the Brown and Christensen straws. Brown is probably not an NFL caliber player and BC is best as a backup guy. I think the more PT they get, the more we are going to see how terrible the Panthers OL evaluation skills are.
  14. At some level, I would rather see Chinn and Burns get traded than to give them bonkers money. Love both players but if we are honest, Burns is a pass rush specialist and Chinn is a box safety. Maybe they get better and become well rounded.....or maybe they don't
  15. Yeah, I am not down on Pickett, I just think he has a ceiling that will keep him from ever being elite. But, I also wasn't a big fan of Burrow so maybe he will be better than expected. Burrow had baby hands concerns too.
  16. 90% of teams are not fooled by that. You judge a player by his tape, not his stats. If you are putting up video game stats and making pro throws and reads, that is a lot different than lobbing ducks to wide open WR's in a gimmick, one read offense.
  17. Look at Bailey Zappe's stats. Seriously, plenty of dumpster fire NFL QB's had video game stats in college. College fans need to stop equating college success with NFL success. It is not a 1:1 comparison. Similarly, Josh Allen had stats in college that would indicate he shouldn't be a success in the NFL.
  18. This is kind of funny given the Herbert take. But, Pickett is not nearly the otherworldly talent that Herbert was.
