    Inconsistent is the rub. He has never been able to have stretches of being consistent. He can look like an elite goaltender or Spencer Martin. Sometimes in the same game.

    This is a bad draft to fug up. The pool of players with first round talent is very small. It's a draft loaded with 2nd and 3rd round grade guys. Not a ton of room for error.

    I am not sure that is a completely honest take simply because he has no idea what the other side of that coin feels like. If he had a ring and an MVP, I think this would be a more valid take.

    Yeah, I still think Morgan is basically Fitterer in the draft and closer to a real GM with pro personnel evals. I mean, last year's draft was so insanely bad.

    He was viewed as a relatively raw guy coming in and he mostly proved to be that. I don't think it would have been as noticeable if the rest of the defense around him wasn't so insanely bad. If you get better talent around him, his fug ups while he is learning/adjusting won't be as obvious.

    Glad to see the rust on Freddie starting to come off. Need him in early season form.

    The games didn't always match that. I would say he also benefitted from a weak ACC and a very strong overall Clemson team. Not to say he wasn't clearly one of the best QB's in college but the hype was never the reality. It really hasn't ever been since high school.

    The issue was the "generational talent" horseshit that kept getting thrown at him while he really never truly played that way even in college. Want the future example? Arch Manning. So he is supposed to be better than Archie, Eli and Peyton combined yet someone he can't beat out a 3rd-5th round NFL career projected backup.
