  1. I was talking about the son, though. No, he knows that he couldn't talk to NFL players like that
  2. I was gonna say, it's hard to argue that he hasn't faced any adversity if you watched them last season. And maybe he has gotten some "special" treatment but he is also getting real NFL preparation/knowledge. Deion actually played this sport and at a HOF level. I don't think he is gonna have his son being ill prepared.
  3. No RB's in the first three rounds, please. That's one thing that would fuging infuriate me in this upcoming draft.
  4. Neither Ewers or Beck really ever struck me as high level NFL prospects.
  5. Hard to blame him, really. I wouldn't be shocked to see the Manning kid do the same if he ends up being a top prospect.
  6. McCord is likely a Day 2/Day 3 guy. BPA. Don't reach. That's my thing.
  7. I suspect this draft looks more like the 2022 QB draft than the 2024 QB Draft and you see very few first round guys taken.
  8. Ward is a solid prospect but Sanders is quite obviously going to be the best combination of polished and skilled. I really don't think this is a strong QB class, however.
  9. Not really, you just do the Drew Brees trick.
  10. I am very high on these other two guys. I think they would be day one, impact starters for us. TBH, I don't love this class at EDGE/DE
  11. What are some guys(in the first three rounds) that you would absolutely love to get? For me, there are a few I just think will be game changers to help build our team: - Travis Hunter(Duh) - Tetairoa McMillan(Duh) - Harold Fannin Jr. Fannin could be a first round pick or perhaps slip to the 2nd. We are all aware how badly TE play has been since Olsen retired. This guy has the look of a 10+ year starter for us with elite attributes. - Deone Walker Walker is ideal for just about any defensive scheme we need to run. At 6-6, and close to 350 he also is a plus level athlete. He is capable of easily occupying two blockers, collapsing the pocket or swallowing up rushing attempts. If you want to shore up the future of your DL, look no further than Walker. Has scheme flexibility to be a 3-4 NT or punishing DT next to Brown in a 4-3.
  12. Jackson, Horn and Woods could start on several teams. Horn could start on at least 75%.
  13. I would rather keep Dalton. He is a more proven option. Darnold isn't going to flourish in our system. He's more likely to chuck 25+ INT's.
  14. They won't keep Darnold as starter, most likely.
  15. I fail to see the benefit from paying him $40+ mil is a benefit. That's probably many times his free agency value.
  16. A trade makes zero sense. He is a FA after this season. Why trade literally anything for a guy that is just going to end up in free agency?
  17. I honestly have no problem with a rookie QB sitting all season behind a Dalton/Flacco/etc. Especially on a bad team. You know who never gets talked about this season? Michael Penix.
  18. I really don't care how any of these guys compare to Bryce. If that comparison has to be made at all, I have no interest in that player. The question is if Ward is a long term franchise player. I will say this, even if we did pick him in the top 5, I would rather still sign Dalton to an extension and let Ward sit for at least a season while we get the team better.
  19. Let's see, Cleveland is possible. Los Angeles(Rams) is possible. Tennessee is probable. New Orleans is possible. New York(Jets) is possible. Las Vegas is definite. New York(Giants) is probable. Miami is possible. Pittsburgh is possible. Four of these teams technically have a QB position established but could be in a position to pivot. So if you remove those, it's basically five possible spots. I think the difference is there are less "desperate" teams than last year. Really only Las Vegas fits that description.
  20. Yeah, I mean.....I keep saying this because we are the Panthers but I am very reticent to trade down unless it's a haul. I am scarred by all the terrible draft trading we have done over the past few years. Of course one could certainly argue that doesn't really absolve us from the awful picks. And even in the number one overall scenario, we botched it. I just want to see us get a quality top 10 pick again. It's been too long.
  21. I don't think there is yet a guy on our roster who will clearly be a starter here in 3 years. Jewell seems unlikely to be a long term keep, Shaq's future is in question, Wallace is a rookie that there is no telling how that will turn out and the rest are a grab bag of JAGs and PS players. It's an area that will need development but pass rushers and interior DL are far bigger issues on the defense.
  22. TBH, not in the first round. I think he is a relatively limited ceiling prospect. High floor but not a guy I would take in the 1st. To be clear, very few of this QB class would I consider first rounders.
  23. There is no question this is basically signaling we are tanking.
