  1. Gonna finish with more penalty yards than offense yards
  2. That's the story. Frank's incredibly likable and the type of coach you respect (unlike Rhule). However, he's just not a fit for the modern NFL at all. If Steve Clifford played for the '88-89 Hornets, he'd 100% be Basketball Reich. As it is, they're still two peas in a pod: good leader, good guy, not cut out for coaching the modern game due to a refusal or inability to adapt.
  3. Funny thing is, the "OL" in "LOL" wasn't even a dig at Ickey. It was a dig at the coaching staff's refusal to move him to guard. Keep sending out those replies at the expense of our quarterback and then turning around complaining when you think someone says something about Ickey that you don't like.
  4. You spam every GameDay thread (and Bryce thread) with the same takes over and over, man. That's kind of my point. You accuse others of what you do on a regular basis, but keep trying to play the role of unbiased voice of reason. It's always a good laugh.
  5. Don't mind Red. He's on his second profile and will probably make a third sometime soon. Bro's also a bit obsessed with me. Kinda weird, but that's this thing.
  6. I mean, you conveniently ignore when Ickey plays like ass but you'll camp out in my mentions when Bryce throws an incompletion. How's that make you any better?
  7. It’s equal parts incompetence and toxic work environment.
  8. For being such a fan of Tshimanga Biakabutuka, you'd think you'd wanna have at least some semblance of patience with a first-round pick.
  9. I'll still have that glimmer of hope last December, the one bit of thinking "this could be a playoff season" amid a sprawling shitshow of Tepper-fueled incompetence
  10. I'd be more surprised if Tepper didn't hire him as HC or OC.
  11. It was a pretty impressive drive by Bryce that if Stroud or Richardson did it that day, they'd be feted as heroes. But to have to just belabor for every yard, every play, I mean -- it worked out perfectly and Bryce made some great throws, but it still took forever to get there.
  12. Tight End on this team is just a wasted roster spot on an annual basis. Professional Check Collector.
  13. The irony is that Dalton's TDs had to come against Seattle's backups, bc their defense was dropping like flies but still making plays.
  14. I like Dalton. He's a more likable, less volatile Derek Anderson at this point. I just wasn't that impressed with what he did, either. But I respect that he just stood up and said, "give me some deeper pass plays, Frank."
  15. He's also a 13-year veteran versus a rookie. But maybe experience is worthless, who knows. I like Andy Dalton and was glad he signed here, but he's probably not the answer to this offense's woes, and it takes some wishful thinking to believe he is after getting out-scored 24-7 in the second half until he bagged a garbage-time TD. I expected him to perform marginally better, and he performed marginally better. But only people who really don't like Bryce Young would say he looked a ton better. That same game from Young would elicit "empty yards, a blown coverage TD pass and a garbage time TD. Big deal"
  16. That's great (not really, obviously) but if you're still putting up comparable yards per attempt, and you threw a TD pass down by 17 with a minute left against backups and third-stringers, it ain't all that earth-shattering to me.
  17. Bryce threw screen after screen against Minnesota and averaged 6.4 YPA. So, 6.2 doesn't seem all that impressive no matter who's throwing it. I think the issue is that if Dalton goes 21-30 for 165 yards in his next game, then it means he looked pretty good. If Bryce goes 21-30 for 165 yards, then it confirms he's Clausen. We've eviscerated Bryce for garbage-time stats, and not making the big plays, but: It's almost like their performances, bar a blown coverage, weren't all that different. Twice as many yards, twice as many throws.
  18. I can't wait for Tepper to hire himself as coach one year
