  1. I had not considered that, and that is a very valid point. I wish we did not still have so much dead cap money this year....we might have been able to pull that off if not for all the dead cap.
  2. I hear you....at this point though, I think re-signing Curtco is a luxury that we cannot afford. Hes going to want at least 8-10 mil a year, and that it too much for what will assuredly be a WR3 on our team.
  3. Whos going to play Center if we do that? We already need a lot of help on the line, no need to go cutting starters that we already have under contract.
  4. I cannot believe the NFL is going to lower the cap like that after one down year, which no one on the planet can be held responsible for. Are they not sitting on billions of dollars of cash? Can't they keep the cap normal for one freaking year, so that 75% of the teams in the league don't have to scramble to get under for just one season until it shoots right back up higher than ever before? It just makes no sense to me....
  5. Yeah i messed up. My bad. How do I edit the title of the thread?
  6. Boy, they sure are clearing out a lot of cap space today.... EDIT: Im an idiot and put Paradis in the title when I meant Palardy. MODs, can you please fix for me?
  7. So where the hell are we supposed to get a QB from then? Are the QB bust rates any higher than any other position drafted in the 1st round? Also, why did you stop at 2016? There have been many stud QBs drafted in the first round since then, who seem to be doing OK with the team that drafted them. 2016 was 5 years ago now - ancient history in the NFL. Moral of the story is that the draft is a crap shoot - regardless of the round and where the player is picked.
  8. We should have never let Bradbury walk out the door.
  9. He was just a straight up release. No June 1st designation for Short.
  10. Much of what we have seen the last 3 years is Tepper and company digging the team out of the massive hole that Richardson/Hurney/Rivera left us in. There have been sweeping changes up and down the organization, and we only now have Teppers chosen GM in place. I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt right now. Things seem to be headed in the right direction, and we do not look anything like the team that the previous regime created. As im sure you are aware, these things take time.
  11. LOL wtf does that mean? Im almost 40 and I wear my Braves fitted cap all the time.
  12. Jesus, that was unexpected. Didn't we just sign him long term last season? How much do we save by making this move?
  13. "In on every deal" does not literally mean we will try to trade for every single player who comes available. It simply means that we will not be shy making trades for positions of need that can upgrade our team. Like, we're not going to try and trade for another QB if/when we land our new QB of the future. We're probably not in the market for any WR's that come available via trade right now. Use your heads, people.
  14. Y'all are some fickle bitches.....I swear!
  15. LOL a 20 million dollar a year back up QB? No thanks.
  16. LOL we are not "years away" from being competitive. We lost 7 or 8 one score games last season. We were in nearly every single game to the very end. Our main problem last year was a pansy, scared QB who was afraid to push the ball down the field at all times. We replace Teddy with Deshaun last year, with the same team, and we probably win 10 games at least.
  17. People act like our O-Line was the worst line in the NFL last year or something. I seem to remember a 3 or 4 game stretch last year where we did not give up one single sack. We will have one anchor with Moton at T, there are options to be had out there to bolster the rest of it. Personally, I don't think the OL situation is as bad as some around here make it out to be.
  18. If Im the Jets, honestly I stay put, draft Wilson or Fields at #2, and try and build a juggernaut around him with all the fresh 1st rounders they have in the next few years. They are in a completely different situation than us.
  19. What does QAnon have to say about the Watson trade prospects?
  20. The new boss is the anthesis of the old boss. Not sure where you're going with that one.
