  1. Anecdotal but two of the best WRs in the league currently. AJ Brown and DK Metcalf. And our HC/OC were DK's position coaches that developed him.
  2. He's a player that needs development on his route running. But he can contribute immediately as well. He is already the best receiver at WR screens, reverse, slant. He is already the best KR. He needs polishing on the rest.
  3. AND Canales/Idzik were the WR coach/passing game coach that developed the raw DK Metcalf.
  4. The WR room is honestly pretty solid and diverse now. You have: 1. quick twitch/route runner (Johnson) 2. security blanket with solid hands (Thelein) 3. big physical playmaker (XL) 4. pure speed in ISM. But his hands and route running sucks.
  5. Maybe. Maybe not. But that shouldn't influence this decision. We have him now though. You guys that dislike Bryce, always criticize his arm strength. In that mindset, he needs a quick separator type and somebody that can take a short pass and turn it into a long TD. Well, now we have both.
  6. Absolutely not true. It was basically a wash. It was 26 points on the chart. That's completely insignificant. I don't love the trade decision but let's not exaggerate to try to prove a point.
  7. But we have one of the top 5 route runners in the league with D. Johnson. It freed this pick to be playmaker type.
  8. Guys. Canales/Morgan/Idzik all have experience and time in Seattle and helped develop DK Metcalf. They were all clearly banging the table for Legette. He has unteachable athletic abilities and a nasty physical attitude on the field. Let's be just a little patient. (Yes, I know, we have sucked for years but this new staff deserves just a tiny bit of time before we shred them).
  9. Corbett was the best player on the OL in 2022 once he came off the PUP list. Injuries hurt him again in 2023. So yea, the injury bug has hurt us but he was (maybe is?) a real good OL. He just cannot be counted on without a solid backup plan
  10. I'm in agreement with you. But I'm not willing to make a decision on Morgan's potential success from that decision. It was a mistake but doesn't mean he cannot be a good GM going forward. He made the best attempt to correct that mistake yesterday. Signing him would've been a worse one.
  11. You are right. They didn't. It was clearly foolish in hindsight. The team thought they were in a better position long term than they were.
  12. Person said it in the Athletic. Only Samir wanted to trade for the picks. But like I said, the circumstances at the time were very different.
  13. I do think Morgan wanted to keep Burns at the time. Person reported that. But it was vastly different circumstances; we were still holding on to hope that we were a good team and didn't need a complete tear down.
  14. He kept him at a salary of barely over 1 million a year. Of all the reasons to question Morgan, this isn't one of them.
  15. Posted this in another thread. Carl Nicks, Max Unger, Jahri Evans. That's why the Saints were able to be so successful with Brees. He needed that interior push. It's smart to replicate it.
  16. No, I don't think so. He looked bad because he had a rotating door at LG all season long and he was still trying to develop stability himself. Even Moton looked bad at times because he had the same thing happening at RG.
  17. And if we do go 0-17, at least we have a 1st round pick again!
  18. How can somebody even have a conversation with all this hyperbole?
  19. He wants to play on the edge like Parsons. Not be an off the ball LB. I see no reason for a Washington reporter to play Panthers PR.
  20. No chance. I think it's pretty clear they have been engaging in trade talks for a while. Evero isn't naive. They didn't keep their DC in the dark on their plans. It's a collaborative effort on an NFL team.
  21. Because Evero can build a good defense around solid players. And plenty of solid players can be signed for 1-2 year deals. Apparently Luvu CHOSE Washington because he prefers Dan Quinn's scheme over Evero's.
  22. You also lose the valuable cap space that they were planning to use during the opening of FA. With Burns contract still on the books as franchise tag, they can't sign the OL they did or whatever other moves they are looking at.
  23. JPJ is going in the 1st round. Probably top 20. I really wish he'd fall to 33 but seems highly unlikely.
