I mean, Tepper has found a way to make us not only the worst NFL team but the worst team in all of professional sports. I don't think Bryce Young is the actual mistake. The mistake is what Tepper puts together. Bryce was going to need a unique and innovative offense. With talent to highlight what he does well. Do that, and he could potentially be a great QB. And they have clearly never had a vision to do that. Just inserting him into bland offenses he doesn't fit....with talent weak in key areas he would play the most to. I still go back to Cam. He was OROY because we made a Cam centric O and had skill talent that played to his strengths. In another spot, that just tried to plug him into what a coach liked and did....he could of been a disaster as a rookie. Drastically different QBs, but share a uniqueness IMO that you have to acknowledge. Where you go, has as much to do with your success in the NFL as anything else. That's what the players say at least.

Luke Kuechly went fishing. Cam Newton traveled. Tom Brady went to fancy events. Bryce Young's answer remains...a bad one. It's not what you would consider the "norm" answer for someone in his position. Simple as that. Look at his most comparable peer. What was CJ Stroud doing? He was organizing throwing sessions and team building with his WRs. Two QBs clearly wired different. Both went to bad teams. Two drastically different results thus far. Bryce Young just doesn't display so much of the textbook stuff you are looking from your "franchise QB". Especially one a team mortgaged their future on.

I think fans want the #1 overall pick, who had a rough first year that some exposed issues......to not take his first offseason completely off of football. and while Luke is an outlier. I think Bryce's first NFL offseason given what he is.....probably makes him a bit of one too. Because I don't think his offseason, is a very common approach by those that have been in his shoes.
-
Luke Kuechly didn't even have a TV his first 4 years in the league. I mean, it was a bad answer by Bryce Young coming off the season he had. Not the end of the world. I think it's fair to say that wasn't a good answer given who and what he is. He didn't just say he watched a little Netflix. He said he had nothing to do with football all offseason. Hard to imagine, Cam, Luke and a host of other Panther greats...intentionally having nothing to do with football early in their career or after a bad year all offseason.

too many smart people in football these days. The old school try and stop what you know is coming approach just isn't going to work (minus having just an absurd roster where the talent levels are just out of whack). You got to be innovative on offense. NFL defenses in this era will feast on the predictable.

I'm just going off of what exists. and all the offenses he has been apart of have shared some very similar traits. Going back to Seattle. Which doesn't seem to play to Bryce Young's strength. Run the ball and then chuck it deep to the outside. That's what Canales has always been part of. And his first investment, was a WR who does that. I'm not saying Canales shouldn't do anything. I'm just saying, no one has ever described that as Bryce Young's game. That's not why we drafted him.

He had another 40+ XP against GB. Eddie the last 2 years is 51/55 under 50 yards for Carolina. That's pretty reliable FG kicker. While being 7/9 from 50+ . I mean, he isn't Justin Tucker. BUT....his FG% is also #3 all time presently behind only Tucker and Butker. It is what it is and he is trying to leverage that against the worst team in the NFL. He isn't a JAG kicker at this point in time.
-
Shows 3 last year. One of those was a 40+ yard XP. end of the day, he has been a solid kicker the last 2 years. K hasn’t been a weakness

I mean, assistant HC Duce was most definitely a hard nosed yeller. He style was shown on Hard Knocks.

I mean, the league average is to be shotgun heavy. some teams trend toward the 70-80% range. With short yardage, goaline and kneel downs bringing them down. KC, Phiily, Ravens? A lot of the really good teams are very shotgun heavy
-
he tip toes and drifts deep to see over the 6'6 monsters in front of him. I mean, if you put him under C and put him at the same depth you would Joe Flacco on throws.....I don't think that is going to yield good results. Bryce despite his size, actually plays the middle of the field well. But he has to play quirky to pull it off.

he missed 1 FG under 50 all season last year. he missed 2 FG under 50 the year prior and made most of his 50+ both seasons I think Pinero is just wanting off the worst team in the NFL. Competitive teams are looking for a reliable kicker. Seems like he is just playing that card.
-
I just don't see how you can effectively do that with him given his size limitations. I mean, sure here and there. But Bryce Young is a shotgun QB.

fair question, is when does scheme and play calling factor into a run game being league worst. I mean, we had virtually the no threat of attacking teams downfield. Had really bad OL play. Were probably one of if not the most predictable offenses in the NFL......and our lead back was (no disrespect) Hubbard . AND we outperformed the Tampa run game. -
meh, Canales talks a fair amount about an offense he didn't really show in Tampa. Run game was trash and the Carolina TEs in 2023 were more productive than Tampa's. his O was carried by the play of the outside WRs
-
I might could argue that's it's not the worst move if you are the kicker. Given how he is kicking right now. It's the end of his deal. Panthers don't want to give him a deal? well, cool, they also aren't going to waste a roster spot keeping him like they would a real spot so they would have to cut him. Too many teams kicking issues. Some team would sign him to a multi year deal given how he has kicked 2 years or so).....and that team probably won't stink as bad us as.

Jets picked up Cohen I saw

I mean, I think the people would rejoice if we could reach the level of the interim Wilks/PJ/Sam Carolina Panthers this season.

I still think Luvu hurts more than Burns. Luvu has either been our best or 2nd best defensive player the last 2 seasons. Burns was #3. -

I'm not sure there is even a troll account that has claimed the G play wasn't bad last year. I think some don't think you can use the bad G play to explain everything away. NFL is full of bad OL play every year. And studs still generally find ways to shine more than BY did last year.
