  1. well, it's not balls out.....to address the fact all we got over the middle of the field is slow AT. I'm sure the old slow guy that was about to retire after last year and missed 7 games....is a poor bet to make going forward. Cupboard is pretty bare in terms of guys who fit the bill of getting the ball out quick to. I don't like Bryce. But I have said since the day we drafted him....you got to get him receiving talent otu of the backfield and slot/TE play. Otherwise, what's the real point.
  2. That's dumb though. It just means you have a HC that won't/can't adjust to win. That's dinosaur behavior. and it also means, you should of just moved on from Bryce Young last year and this whole thing is just going to be a waste of time. Bryce Young just flat out doesn't fit that mold of QB play. I personally don't think Canales is that bad and stubborn. I think going into last season he basically conceded they would move on from Bryce. But now? Well, now he has a job to do. Best plan of action is to continue down the path of him being a QB guru.....not an old head stuck to football has to be played one way.
  3. if Bryce Young is going to be your QB......the O simply has to cater to what he does well and doesn't. What Canales did in Tampa and Seattle isn't Bryce Young. It was home run football downfield.
  4. Bryce needs much better slot/middle of the field and backfield receivers. That's basically his game. I still say XL was picked back when 99% thought we were moving on from Bryce Young in short order. XL fits what Canales did in Seattle and Tampa. Still need that role in any offense but all the bread and butter Bryce throws need upgrades.
  5. Warren had more offensive production last season than both Pitts and Hockenson had in their entire college careers. I mean, it's not weird that after THAT dominant of a season, all eyes are on Warren. The other guy you mentioned, was the best TE in the NFL last year.
  6. Warren has a shot to be top 10 in TE rec yards year 1. Guess we can debate what really makes a TE a TE given the ugly work that doesn't show on a stat sheet but definitely offensive production last year a rookie was #1 a rookie has been in the top 10 in 3 of the last 4 years in offensive production. and most years in the last decade features a top 10 rec yard TE in year 2. RB, WR, and TEs in today's NFL are pretty much instant productions positions (year 1 or 2) if you hit on a stud. *pending there isn't some type of Jimmy Clausen issue where the QB just kills functional O
  7. I was right about Luke Kuechly. Not just the pick but bring right on the player he would be. Same for Cam. Which voids all my wrong 439402 picks and player projections that were disasters. Some people don't get that. It's just math. 2 > 439402
  8. just ask XL, to date he is has never been wrong about what we are doing w/ our first pick
  9. since Morgan has been in the building, the best draft pick has a been a 4th round RB driven by Matt Rhule's wife. Granted, you can't judge a lot of stuff yet but it hasn't been good. I'd like Warren. Take good football players. People trying to be smart and win in trades more times than not leaves you looking dumb. To date, we have seen more Ls than Ws w/ our draft pick trading.
  10. Charlotte FC moved to 5-0 (best in the MLS) at the Bank Saturday night! if you aren't watching, this is the best team Charlotte has to offer right now. Worth the watch!
  11. 13-11 no top 25 finishes best finish in a weak conference was 4th ...and getting your jersey retired as a QB the following year
  12. I largely remain a fan of not trading up nor down in drafts.....and just using your picks to draft the best player. Almost every time they go up or down I feel they lose more times than not.
  13. the most important aspect of the rebuild is the QB....and that working out is more dependent on the OL than anything else. We just saw that play out. And Bryce is still a work in progress that we hope to get right.
  14. after sleepwalking for the entire game, they sure did come alive in the final 10 minutes Saturday. Charlotte FC is the best Charlotte team to follow at this point over the Panthers and Hornets. Team in general is fun to watch and you gotta like overall what they have done w/ building up this roster.
  15. and somehow Dan Morgan has gotten a pass for his involvement in how we got here. I mean, yeah, Dan threw big time cash at some guards last offseason. Any GM can pull of that. The drafting since Morgan and most of his crew have been in the mix has been subpar to date. I mean, can't fully judge them but clearly no early homeruns like you see around the league. best draft pick to date while Morgan has been on board was a 4th round RB.
  16. Decent listen. He talks about the Legend of Luke a bit (being so dedicated he didn't have a TV), 2015 season, guys he played w/ in Carolina. It's Luke, so there is nothing Earth shattering but it's not bad to plug in for a car ride home.
  17. I think that option has run it's course. I think that spot is best used for longshot with bigger potential. We pretty much know him pretty well at this point.
  18. swiss army do everything dudes are great for college. He never had a home positionally in the NFL. He fit everywhere and yet nowhere.
  19. True. As soon as I saw that bench press I knew it was bologna. Plus I had an edge over others given I am Dan Morgan’s alt account.
  20. Renfrow ran some of the nasty routes out of the slot that could be ran. He is now 30. Renfrow losing that quickness in his feet that comes with age......is just a massive nail in the coffin, given his niche at this level.
  21. that is not Hunter Renfrow's info. That's DT Desmond Watson. First clue should of been the bench press
  22. Renfrow is one of my top 5 favorite all time Tigers. I'd pass here. The Bryce to Renfrow memes we would have to face isn't worth it.
  23. Renfrow can work select routes in the slot as good as anyone. He isn't a plug into any offense type or just any slot role type.
  24. I don't think he was washed so much as Hunter Renfrow is a very specific niche player that requires actually playing to that niche and it built into an O. He is rather pointless to have if you aren't going to have an O he fits into and the specific work he does. Can the average NFL player cover the Renfrow route/game? Not really. But your O has to want that in your O. If just ask him to sub in for a random WR.....that doesn't really work.
