In terms of raw athleticism that may be true, but I really do think CMC is just a different level of player. Maybe I'm wrong tho, this isn't meant to hate on DJ and I do agree the comparison is difficult. Perhaps it is just that DJ is handicapped by horrible QBs, but he isn't under-utilized for a WR this season. He is one of the most targetted - and has some of the most receptions - of any receiver this season. He is also VERY high on drop percentages for WRs, but at least he isn't Robby. I do think he is a great WR... as if that matters when your QB is Sam Darnold.

the draft is fluid and people latch on to certain specific things that Verge may have said at one time, despite saying something different (and often more accurate) as the draft got closer. but nobody's rumors / sources are ALWAYS correct. those of you intend on shitting on a person for sharing what they've heard, fug off. just ignore the posts. I don't agree with that. Granted it is hard to compare due to different positions and usages... But in terms of their relative ranking at their positions... CMC is arguably the best RB in the league if we discount injury history. He's an exceptional receiver and a great running back. DJ may be in the top 10 WRs but he is not in CMC's league. This shouldn't be seen as a knock on DJ... he's a great player... but CMC is something else entirely. edit: of course at least DJ stays on the field lol. If CMC can't start doing that, it really won't matter...

I think that the NFL itself is in bed with the owners and would certainly let them know what their plans are assuming nothing changes in the status quo.

How is QB and RB a wash? Jameis has done so much more in his career than Darnold lol. And Hubbard is nothing compared to Kamara. We wouldn't be on a 4 game losing streak if CMC could stay on the field.

Sure, if either we had a good OL or another elite RB. CMC is by far the best offensive player on the team... If he could stay healthy anyway

I don't think these trades are coming together as they are if the NFL hasn't assured a team Watson can play this year. Sports media is already talking about him a ton with the impending trade. If they wanted to shut that down, they put him on the exempt list now.

It was by design. But... There are other players on the roster so the team has to try whatever it can ... and the terrifyingly sad reality is Darnold gives us a slightly better chance of moving the ball than PJ. Is that saying much? No, lol. But everyone knows PJ is only on this roster because of where he went to college. We should have brought in a more seasoned vet qb, but it is what it is. Or a competent OL.

Or PJ is just so bad, Darnold is just the only real choice on the roster. Darnold has shown more as a Panther than PJ. They've both also been terrible, so... Too bad we don't have another alternative

I don't blame them in the least for the Giants game. But man, they let us down in the 2nd half vs Minnesota and Dallas. Yes, the offense fuged up in both cases too, but the D folded like a chair after ST scored a TD vs Minnesota, and failed to get a final stop for a tie / win vs MN and DAL. That's why I don't think they are truly elite. Rhule is counting on them winning us low scoring games... I just don't see it.

I don't believe we have an elite defense... Good, yes, definitely... But not good enough to win very low scoring games... Maybe when everyone is healthy, but... A bad offense (which is what Rhule is asking for) isn't going to be enough. We saw that against a decent but not good Minnesota team.
