Anthony Richardson declares for the draft
mav1234 replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I remember hearing things like this in pre draft. And yeah, I believe you, highlights do look like the same guy. For me it'll all be about how he processes the game and comes off in interviews. I think you're right he has a good shot in the first. And if he's impressive in those interviews he has a good shot of going very high. -

I think so but interviews don't always tell the whole story. He could be even better (or worse) at the combine etc. He's a very interesting prospect because everything I see about him reminds me of what little we saw about Josh Allen in the draft leadup. I'm curious to see how all the QBs do, as I still think Fitt is more likely to go for a QB out of round 1 (would be happy to be wrong). -

I dunno man. The draft is about potential, and Hill and Richardson have nowhere near the same ceiling. Richardson is very raw though, and I agree he's not close to where Cam was coming into the NFL. I don't think there's a good comparison now but he does remind me a lot of what I saw about Allen in college (which was very little). -

If Richardson does well in interviews and if his measurables are as good as it seems, he'll probably go mid to high first based on potential... He has enough amazing throws that you can see there's a chance. -
Sounds like Baker requested the move and we obliged. I wouldn't assume Wilks dislikes him, but Darnold does seem better in limited action so far.

Don't try to make me root for the Saints, ugh....

Thanks all for clarification on snap %, appreciate the links/math. Glad to know he's still only costing us a 5th.
-
We lost a 4th? I thought he stayed at just the 5th value. What'd I miss?
-
Given the injury history of our starters and our impending playoff push (lol) I'm a little surprised we did this now, but I'm sure he requested it to see if he can land with a playoff team.

This is a punishment you chose for yourself, Mr. Scot.

And it ends in a tie. Neither WAS or NYG could breakthrough in the end.

Well, with Jimmy G going out... Might not matter how I want CMC to do...
-
I understand the excitement to draft him, but I just don't want another failed jets QB. that's fair, but I really want CMC to succeed, haha.
-
White had to force it there, but still. Never like to see that.
-
Fields was better than his stats indicate today IMO. He did have some nice throws, and he's basically doing it alone. Forced it to end the game, and a terrible decision that sealed the result earlier in the game - those two decisions were bad, but rest wasn't so much IMO.

Dolphins vs 49ers is hard for me - I love the Fins but love CMC. Not a huge fan of SF, but would like to see CMC have a shot to go far in the playoffs this year.

Wow, Wolford is shredding Seattle on this first drive. Unexpected.
-
Hopefully not us.

Curtis Samuel with a big run to get the Commanders just about into FG range.

Washington D stepped up big in OT, let's see if the offense can capitalize

Still behind TB and ATL In the standings. Need TB to have one more loss and we're in control of our destiny I think, as ridiculous as that sounds at 4-8.
-
don't worry, they found a way to lose, lol.
-
It doesn't make me any less excited about him, but it was 3rd and 1 and they had time to get a score there. Unlikely they would have won the game, but still.

In other draft position news, Detroit slaughtered the Jags...
-
yup. Fields with another INT...Two big blemishes on an otherwise solid day.
