I think 80% chance he's there at 8 on draft day. Even if he is, I think Panthers pass.... I'd about 90% sure of that.

His Twitter bio and comments look legit, just a unknown. Still adds more

Im tied to a few- I feel Panthers realistic pick- Williams. Ive started the Walter Nolen train in the draft sub, he's currently lava hot and looking like a top ten pick. Everyone for weeks has said - walker Mason Graham seems to be falling like I predicted Months ago. I just seen a legit source talk about Panthers want to draft their top TE(could be either guy) I've seen seen a couple OT and you know what, the best player at 8 does look like a OT. Verge is calling BS on walker. My 900 IQ pick is Tmac and its been that pick for 2 months. Soooooooooooooooo....... doing panther mathz, carry the 3..... minus 8. Panthers could draft 87 players at 8 or their trade back spot....

from afar, each only have one year of conctract control. Yes there's the 5th year for icky and Motown can sign extension etc. But right this draft day time, just one year for RT and one year for LT. With allllllllll the holes and issues, honestly Ive overlooked the tackles. I know this too, if Icky was performing at all-pro, the 5th year option would been done.... Something is up. Heres a simple fact in the NFL- Look you can not pay everyone. Panthers have given good OT money to each OG...... Sure keep OL a strength etc etc, but you can not pay all 5 starters top billings. Someone has to be on a rookie scale or bargain deal. I've said it about JC Horn and the same applies to Icky, its hard paying either 100+ million for 4 years. They have been looking at draft OTs in meetings. Something could already be in the works and we are totally unaware. Hell, Icky *could be on the trade market. They are keeping lots of options open, right or wrong....

If they know which teams need/want QBs, my my........ It's looking like dart goes #9. This maybe a weird weak draft, but the classic rule is in play. supply demand. There is NOTHING left in the QB market, unless you want to deal with 41 year old psychedelic-knob Arod and his BS. So as bad as the QB draft pool, which I feel is over blown. There's no elite group, but I think around 10-12 will be draft by round 6. Some will become legit starters. So if ANY team wants/needs a QB, this is your only realistic chance. They will have to pay up. Watch out for Tyler Shough, for the past week Ive seen and hear crazy reports about him. He could go early 2nd round and nearly everyone has him around 4-5 round. He's lava hot, just like nolen. A couple others QBs jumping up for teams. The 2-4, *should have surprising action at QB . https://www.si.com/nfl/seahawks/seahawks-john-schneider-2025-nfl-draft-quarterback-comments GM Schneider doesn't think its a bad or weak class, just depends on fit, team, and price. But in the interview, he let on on like this QB class has lots of talented options. I agree with him.

Panthers Training Camp update: NO Fans the next 2 years
Basbear replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have a couple contractors friends working in Charlotte between triangle and other cities that pay well. RH over promised tepper, believe it or not. Coofus hit in the middle of it too, which killed any chance for RH to full fill their contract. They told me tepper asked for bonds and breaks and got the classic its coming. This happen three more times over nine months and tepper stopped the project, which was the correct decision. They were worried about not getting paid or being tied up in court for years. To his credit tepper paid each of them, pro move. RH wanted this massive project and bid against other counties in SC and NC, they vastly over promised and begging hoping tepper would not stop.. Believe it or not this type of thing happens alllll the time, I've been in many of them. It would blow your mind how many business people go all-in on developments and before you finish cleaning the trees off the land, they can not pay. Just hoping for more/different investors. Many times 3rd or 4th the land gets sold. The speeches and BS Ive been told.....jaded. Im thankfully out, outside calling old friends and visiting job sites. Subbed out work too, not any more. I've personally only threaten one time to walk off a job. The company falsified the geological map. I told them to put another 200,000 into my bosses account or I will pack everything up and walk off the job. I already had 10 days in the project and knew this was not what was quoted. Later that day, 200,000 when into account.... -
Id support drafting Stewart.. at the 57th pick.

Then they trade back to the late 20s.....

joe with the three weeks ago news update.....

I did hear a new report. One team has followed him for two full years, Im talking going to each games and remaining at arms length. The giants have done the most research on him, BY FAR. The issue is if they pass on him at 3, many other teams will follow. He's all over the map in terms of ranks. Anywhere from top 5 to late 3rd. I forgot where who what, but one assistant coach thats being in the league for a long time, said sanders had the worst interview he's been a part of. He under-dressed Sanders with entitlement and taking needless sacks= no chance at NFL success. He wrapped it up by saying "he's simply not good" is his main problem over the other issues.

Claim him, I know Dan wants to do IT, so DO IT!! https://www.seahawks.com/news/seahawks-waive-nt-cameron-young

One of the bigger reasons for his rise is draft people listening to this report- https://www.clarionledger.com/story/sports/college/ole-miss/2024/08/08/ole-miss-football-pete-golding-walter-nolen-quinnen-williams-alabama/74658977007/ Quinn Williams was drafted 3rd overall. That 2019 draft is much better than this 2025 one. Nolen is thought to be a better williams. If that's the case, buckle up..... With the current information flowing in, its starting to feel like (<insert old draft joke>) Nolen will not even make it 8.

Id say in the past few years verge has made some predictions and was on the money. I cannot stress how hard it is to be right or close to right on draft guesses. Vastly more than not, verge dropped some correct statements. Many of those names are linked to Panthers from various visits and reports from other sources. @Verge what ended up with that old source you used? I think it was an area scout from Indy. Plus I thought you "retired" from these type of threads(mainly cause of donkeys...) For me this is one of the double double tricks to ruse you to fool everyone type of deals. I can not get over Dave and others commenting/drooling on Walker as a player/leader. It's just sus as all hell. Now we are going to find out if verges smokescreen sources were given mis-leading information or did the national media get lazier with repeating "Panthers absolutely love jalon walker". Small part of me believes Panthers do in fact want walker, BUT the dominant side of me is reminded of the last few years of out-comes..

It seems Nolen is the hottest name leading into the draft. A few new reports have him in the top 10 and a top target of Carolinas/trade up teams. I thought people/scouts/media were sleeping on him.

Ranking every Panthers draft class alex zeitlow observer
Basbear replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
My gif was aimed at the rankings, after #1 a complete failure. better off if they used a randomizer, just awful. -
You just know he wants 30+ million per. That's my cope......
-
final mock- Everyone knows panthers love walker, enough has been said. Now the dream/fantasy starts with Grant falling out of the mid-1st round. Higgins is another star falling, I just don't see him there. Skattebo was just the best player on the board, I got him around 80th best. Reed should compete for starter snaps at either safety. Phillips is a favorite of mine, in fact he is my main target mid-rounds. Gadsden typical upside TE. Castro is a legit safety and should be a 4 phase STer week one. 5th best safety on ranks. Robinson came in at 103 on DJs top 150, just another BPA and he should make the 53 as depth.

one year ago he was thought of as #1 and clear top 5 for many coming into the season. He had a high ankle deal game one and kept playing, never gone the burst back. Said he was 100% healthy recently and had very "meh" workouts. I just view him as the worst outcome, that's fine by me. There's about 20 others I feel the same about, just a odd draft.
