Its criminal that the upcoming season is mainly in the tiny hands of BY. I still member the time I did a full turn, if you member his first off-season from that Panthers all-time worst team....... Answering questions at his first presser, he goes along the lines " I didn't do nothing, no weight room or throwing" " I needed to get away". I was fully out with him, the guy didn't even try to improve his football mind, body, strength, in the biggest joke of panther football. Surprised CB is that low. 19th is odd spot. For many recent drafts, teams only felt there were around 14 first round players. So to many 19 is just an early second and doesn't hold the value of a first. If you go off- the smart path of LT, QB, edge, WR, CB, etc. Whatever your OG, Safety, ILB, etc needs to be a difference maker, that's the key point. I've said the 8th best edge is better than the 1st safety. Same for QB and even WRs. You should 100% factor in position value. MHS you've been wanting a FS, let me tell you its super difficult to be a difference making FS. You're just sooo farrrr away from the action and the end result most times. If you're in the play, defense made mistakes in order. Now to talk out of both sides, maaaaaann that white boy from Oregon....I thought he crushed the combine and honestly that alone made me rethink "is he worth 19 now?!?!" he's now in the discussion for me, but still below others. Plus I feel TE is vastly underrated in value terms. But looking at the last 20 years of TEs in the first, its down right bad. You're better like X10 better drafting one in 4th or 5th.

I agree, Im getting worse. Even getting C Pat at pick 200 doesn't save this group. Its very boring too. I need a total reset and I have others that I feel are worse than this..... I've never been this bad over the years either.

If you check next year there's 50 mill in cap space, * without this years draft class or next. 5+ should allow this year given its top 51. Next it jumps and you need another 5-10 mill for 27 draft class. Most team like to carry 10 into each season for injuries. It goes fast....... I feel it pains as a "hater" *but* if my fav Panthers team decides BY is thee guy......(just how...)... I feel they should offer that malik Willis contract as the goal and base for a contract. I believe they feel strong enough to sign these top FA, they are going for it right now........ So that hurts my idea of drafting a starting QB in 27 or even 26....Its hard to reset "going all-in" with a rookie QB learning the NFL game. Hell who knows what QB will be cut after this year too, no one thought Tua or Murray was getting cut before this past season, NO ONE. Watson could be a FA at any point this or next. Honestly wildcard in this mofo is using the 19th on TY simp, let him learn at his own pace and flip BY for a mid pick or just ride him for the whole 5th year. Now you have a low cap hit young QB that's been learning for 2 years and you got him for the next 3 if he's the guy.....why not!?!?!!?

People that watched the games for the whole season and were not jaded by early season struggles saw Nick get better each week. By the seasons end, he was NOT the weakest link, in fact he was playing at a high level even with rams testing him(he got a INT).

TE room is still awful young, even tremble is 25 or so years old. I feel they just need to "breakout" and yes any of the three young ones could do that. Sanders has been on that "breakout" path and each time get a freak injury. Evans had a solid rookie season and can improve if he wants it enough. Tremble he's right there too, came in awful young and just needs to get over the hump. I feel the QB is holding them back.......

Reveal- Until three weeks before his draft, I wanted Simmons >> Brown. I hate to say I didn't see his greatest flaw the first time, upon reviewing more clips and lucky listening to better scout. Simmons was shown not to enjoy contact/hitting. WHich is crazy given he played a joker type of LB and had tons of tacks and big plays. But it was there hidden in the slow mo and people that played the game, he didn't enjoy hitting. Given that's a huge part of defenders job, I dropped him from want/need list and lucky for everyone dbrown was there to be picked. Seems he's found a role or lane he's comfy in and willing to do and it does fit him once you disregard his draft status. Who knows, he maybe the NB for evero this year. He can still become a legit starter.

Just about every position group on this team is legit right now, expect the QB room, its STILL one of the weakest in the NFL. Pickett made it weaker, holy hell Dan.......He needs to draft TY Simpson to save the team.....

I can not draft a CB to save myself and Im still having big trouble in the 3rd round. Heres my "DAM IT I MISSED CB, but overall hauled in a bunch of good players" draft. Plus Dan has made it hard- Safety has 4 guys and the normal carry in-season. DL has 6, again normal carry WR has 6-7-8 too many Even ILB has Lloyd, wallance, Bam, and Ched that's enough for in-season. I feel OL and CB/NB/DB/weapon needs more from my drafts, I just follow the board tho.

Not to toss this group in dirt, I just have a collection of players were Im viewing them as non-panthers until I hear their names in OTAs, mini, and TC. Wallace, brooks, XL, Ickey, Thor, and zanzilla..... Just feel its best for Panthers to act that way and to address the positions as such. Draft, FA 2nd waves, waiver claims, trades, and UDFA pool to fill the roster numbers........ let each force the Panthers to recognize

He did redeem himself, big time. One spot he's done great in the UFDA pool, here's a list of found players- Coker, Fitz, Thor, harrsion-hunte, Bam, and Richardson. All have help whether depth or snaps or GW kicks. If he has another 2025 draft haul, Panthers would have a winning season. He's on decent terms with me, I just wished he'd bring to the QB room....just a huge flaw..

Honestly I still feel edge is still in the top 3-4 needs, about the only change is no longer need to use the first or second or even third picks on edge. disclaimer- huge DL/edge whore. If the 3rd is BPA edge, why not me says....

Best draft Ive seen this year, insane luck with Maulg falling to 19. Low key addressed the CB with lee. Im the #1 Payton whore and that's a steal at 158. You filled needs and got depth and upside too. Randell was my least favorite pick, but if Dan doesn't sign any Vets, 6th round is no problem.

For as good the 2025 draft class was, the 24 one is the opposite ..... There's still time and Coker did come from 24, just not having the 1st rounder hurt being Dan's first pick was a trade up to 32. Brooks has talent and recently ran 21 MPH. Just too many ifs and maybe....sanders, Wallace flirts with good play and then get injuries. CSW is being talked of moving to S,ST,___. Crumedy gone and barret was in a near Greg Olson like trade haul.....
