Not Necessarily Panthers Related but....
Basbear replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dang, kungfoo everything I want to give its hard to rank/gauge/grade.... Its like the old deal - "How do you measure "heart"?" Leadership, dealing with adversity, ball placement. Joe Burrow is a great QB to copy for all traits, he took a loser and made a winner. That's the hardest part.... -

Wish I could help you more, that link should offer some of what you want indirectly. Plus I am having trouble figuring out how to help as well. Bad news, but good baselines for a "successful pick" mainly could be being picked by a "successful" team/city/coaching staff. That's odd and awful, but its a major factor and maybe the main one. I can not tell you a first rounder needs to have more than 5.1% higher comp% than a 4th. With different teams, leagues, systems, staffs, etc. Theres some wacky numbers for winning that do happen, same for losing too. Again where you go and who is there have the biggest effect. Here is another piece, it does a better job of what I am trying to say. Basically Brain Hoyer was a UDFA and his agent told him that he is going to sign with the Pats. He thought it not the right move, but it ended up being the move that allowed him to stay and start in a league he had no business doing for the time he did. -

GOAT Score} = 0.30 \times \text{Efficiency Index} + 0.25 \times \text{Peak Performance Index} + 0.20 \times \text{Playoff Index} + 0.15 \times \text{Longevity Index} + 0.10 \times \text{Awards & Legacy Index} I get Tom brady for any and all best QB formulas...... -

Are you asking which NFL stats can be used for making the perfect QB? Can I ask how many stats categories do you have and what they are?? I say this before the numbers are formulated, there's nearly always out-liners. Panthers had plenty of them believe it or not- Cam being the biggest, like if you value comp% Cam was bad most career, but still won and got to the SB. Teddy2gloves is a comp% God, but never won much outside the special season incoming but his leg exploded. Wins vs winning teams Wins after loses Heres more ideas for you to read as others have attacks this as well- https://www.natesilver.net/p/best-quarterbacks-of-all-time-qbert-elway good luck! -
This season has been the wildness variable one ever, soooo much extreme sucking and good playing.

Some UDFAs have made it- Romo, Delhommey, Warner, Moon, flutie(tho it seems NFL teams are better drafting now). My best gauge is how they handle adversity. I swear this is the best and nearly tired and true. This isn't fool proof, but decent enough to mention even in this era- For Parcells to consider drafting a quarterback, they must meet the following seven criteria: Be a three-year starter Be a senior in college Graduate from college Start 30 games Win 23 games Post a 2:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio Complete at least 60% of passes thrown -

It was like he never took a NFL, so odd..... I did not forsee that piss-poor of performance form a Vet like Andy.....I swear Vinny off the couch had more awareness. The highest level of mistakes too, you 100% can not take a sack, red takes a softy sack......He toss a INT within 3 yards right at a DLman. It was like Andy was playing for the bills, about one of the worst games Ive seen form a Vet, A vet that's 26th all-time in yards and TDs while not being 40 years.....He looked 50 out there with the indecisions. BY still loses this game, but they would score two more times.

Best rounds to draft C, IOL, Safety, and LB is 5-7. Toss NB in there too, but I feel that's more of a 3-5 deal. -
Thanks for bringing out the truth!

Its painful, but facts are these mid-season have a high failure rate. I do know this team has 2 many DLmen. Crumedy or Ray needs to be moved, but the return is not even 2028 7th value. If Panthers start being the 2024 panthers- ARob, Scott, Christ, DJ, and even Rico for the fire sale losing team. If I was Dan/Brandt Id cut Deejay Dallas and sign Bradyn Swinson off pats PS(wow at the job vabs is doing....)

11 sure. The end result is what counts and the volume came from trades. It doesn't matter 4 picks or 15, get 2 starters and one top backup/STer and that is a legit good/great draft. 2021 was a good draft, its a fair statement. I thought it *could have been a top five all-time panther draft, I don't think its quiet there but its next door.

Tommy Tremble- 25 years old(yes) and having his best season= signed until 2027 Mitchell Evans- 22 years old and NFL is not too much for this rookie= signed until 2029 JaVaion Sanders- 22 years old and current #1 unlucky but on the rise= signed until 2028 James Mitchell- 26 years old and Governor knows his role= RFA can be back on the cheap for 2026 future for this group .....

PFF you say...... Brother Dexter Lawrence is the biggest problem on that stacked DL, he gets tripled teamed on plays. They ALL are ballin, nice for BBs breakout in year 7... -
This is a nearly always a hot topic, but screw you guys....bresjesus is legit as they come and should be 1st ballot EASY. He's got FIVE 5k seasons, the closest guy next is Brady with 2. He got the gifted ring. He was the first player with 80,000 yards and 7,000 comp......Just insane The fuger tossed a TD in 54 str games... He's a first ballot HOF and he deserves it, fug you guys for making me defend him!!11!!

I mean Dan Morgan and Bradt tilis, you're a super fan. And this goes to everyone; has ANY panther GM fixed a awful DL AND OL?? LOLOLOLO @ herniay and Gettlegut did draft Star and KK to fix the DL while for a season or two had Oher, turner, Kalil, ??Norwell, Gross. Neither had depth, like the current group and never had a full line *from awful to good. Unless you count Gettlegut using his first two draft picks on stud DTs, but he never fully fixed the OL like Dan/Brandt had within 2 seasons. Not for trying, Matt Kalil was signed, yes it didn't work, but finding a LT is the hardest spot to find. Still wow at having two awful lines and fixing them within a couple years. This past year and before DL signed- DJ, Pat Jones(IR), Arob, drafted Cam Jackson, Nic, Prince, Crumdey. Found cheap Incoom, Boogie. Resigned - Motown, Mays, Corbett, Christ, Signed- Yoshi, Hunt(IR), Lewis. 5th year Ickey and I hope working on a contract. In 20+ years no GM was able to find legit starters and decent depth from scratch. Best I know, but correct me if wrong..
