  1. He's played great and it was a win-win (rare free agent) for both parties. One of the points is he hasn't made enough difference to "waste" 35 million on. Another point is by the time Panthers are hitting their prime, he would have taken snaps away from young WRs/TEs/RBs. "Thus" in the long term, hurting the teams new future "window." But I dare think of the monkey poo of a offense the Panthers had without him the past 2 years. Lack of talent leads to many problems, including paying a 35 year old to be somewhat respectable. Hes one of few that cared enough and made a effort. Plus you know he's done great stuff in many other ways for the team, community juggernaut, leadership, etc. Judgement is for AT and his 3 year panther career!!
  2. But it has gotten a little wacky. RBs-https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/contracts/_/position/rb A couple months ago iggles made Bark the highest guaranteed RB, jeanty was until then. That's what matters the guarantee. A rookie never played a down was the leader, until iggles howie made things right. If a safety gets drafted in the top 8 or so, he would have the highest money too or very close to it. Add in TEs and C too. Even with the fixed %, the numbers are getting too much for a player that's not proven themselves. Plus anytime a QB is drafted it screws up the contracts for players around and if next year a punter gets drafted at the same 90th spot, they want the same contract with the 5.7% increase. Teams would be laughing. Its just reached this point. Another 10 years and I bet the vets will be crying.
  3. Honestly Frank is right if you view AT in a certain way. He's not apart of the future and Panthers won 2 and 5, correct? Did it matter if AT was on the field or not? Plus in a way he does hinder young WR with taking snaps. He is getting paid very well for 34-35 year olds, not many teams, maybe no other teams would give that much. Its the classic both sides have key points. I was of the opinion to cut him and didn't care for the og contract, but they traded DJ Moore...I thought Clark was going do what AT did, nope! Just to add if 2021 hunter is back and he's on a min deal, would you rather have AT@ 9million or hunter@ 1mill?
  4. Dude is a straight baller and worth it. I didn't like the contract or the raise he got either, but he's bought effort and results on a awful team for those two years and wanted to come back..... I plain miss-read his heart and will. I mean think of the team the past two years WITHOUT him, dear gods that would historic bad. Plus I do believe he has helped BY become a NFL QB, no other panther WR gave any help.
  5. All first rounder have fully guarantee deals, I believe since 2011. Just the Texans gave Higgins a full deal while he was the 34th taken player. Browns had no choice at that point to do the same for 33rd drafted LB. Honestly the NFL and players union may need to step in to fix the current mess. I foresee another reset ala 2011 rookie scale coming soon. I believe this years 6th overall pick Jeanty has the most guaranteed money BY FAR of ANY RB..... that just shows the RB market is hella bad. But Its starting to get like 2000s days, where the guy pick in the first is the highest paid. Like if a safety or center is draft in the top 10, they would be in the top 3 I believe.
  6. This is some real talk type of stuff. Im guilty of bad AT comments and all he's done is drag the team towards the light. Ill expose myself more, the reports came out that he wanted a little more money and guarantees for the 2025....... I thought it was best to cut him......Like my guy you are 35 years old and that contract was more than fair when your original team didn't want want you back.
  7. What are you talking a bout?!?!?! There is no list!!!!!!!!! Well....... excuse me........ if there is a list it was a total hoax made up by a kenyan born leadership!!!!!!!!! Besides what can of moron cares about human trafficking and rape????? All made up, trust me bro....... Talk about a fumble recovered for a TD type of swing, just terrible handling after all the statements and the more talking the farther the foot gos in mouth.
  8. I do not mind the side line reporter for females, not one bit. Just stay from either lead play-by-play chair or color role. Stephanie Ready is great and shocked she hung around. Michele Tafoya is the godmother of that role and if not for her I would be against that too. They are good in small bits and updates, but not the full mic time. I mean this is summer league and all, but I much prefer men commentators........ I would trade about any female for Joe buck tho..... Who knows, I havnt heard enough new ones to change my mind.
  9. I followed this too much. The simple term is everyone is waiting on Saints 40th pick QB Tyler Shough to sign. QB always get more money and higher guarantees. Since the 33rd and 34th got fully guaranteed deals, Tyler wants the same. Start doing some bad math- so #35-39 also want the full boat, so will 41st, 42nd, etc It could last until Nic at 51st, some team has to stop the madness. Plus no player or agent wants to be first to bend the knee at a non-guarantee(thank harry Mack!). So this could get very fugly and last into the season, no BS. The Seahawks traded up for their pick and they could easily fall in line, thus making it messier. I do think the teams in 30s will wait sign until Tyler signs. Same for early 40s, its the lynch pin to this whole deal. Remember too all those early 2nd round has great agents and firms. Plus unlike 20 years ago, when teams knew the draft picks would fold cause they needed the money, these picks already have bags of cash from NIL. It's different now and it could last into the season.
  10. Overall report- Kon had 3 poor quarters and one stud one. He at least tried to run the offense and had good passing, he should have had more asst if not for poor players. Most of the rebs fell in his lap. 3 3s carried him to 2nd in scoring and one of them was a deep shot and the guy was in his face. Kalk looked the part and maybe maybe should add few minutes of play in season. He seemed to realize spacing and blocks. Simpson was the temu on special Curry. Just the best player on the court and has been each game for the hornets. Im team 16 Hall this game, he would be the 2nd best player on dallas if he played for them this game. Mu god they were bad outside #9. Holy fug Flagg, Liam, and James DNPs. fuging already got the NBA touch, what a joke. Cut everyone's pay since its impossible to play 35 minutes as a healthy 19 year old. Load mange dez nuts.
  11. I still do not like hearing female commentators.
  12. Just seen Dallass point total, did enjoy 9s' play....not much else besides BOL BOL look a like.
  13. If Kon or Kimpson are not in, no offense play will be ran. At best high pick or iso BS.
  14. Septh Kimpson with a nice 3. Shame hes going to to get no play in season.
  15. Kon running the point 3 different plays
  16. Kon in fact does have a brain and he uses it.
  17. TO by Kon before good non-asst attempt
  18. FT attempt, using Juan's eyes, Kon looks thicker than I thought. Kon drops two pure tear drops.
  19. I got side tracked, DVR and rewind til the start of 3rd. thanks for saving my spot, guys!
  20. Flagg trying to bring back 90s rapper necklaces
  21. Salaun looks like the 2nd best player for the hornets playing. Good D on a play. Still erratic during O, but the whole team is. its summer league stuff.
  22. Hornets have been poor from FT, I think even Kon missed one early and that's his strength.
