I thinking we could get OL in the 2nd, Tez 3rd, and Luke/Rice in the late rounds. Grab a FA WR like Hollywood or if Jennings is available and that will give Canales something to work with.

Dead thread revival??
-
Yep it’s what happened last year. Hopefully a top QB falls again like Levis because teams will overpay for a premium position.

I’ll take consistency and strong defense over sporadic scoring of great games and bad games. Williams has a long term future here plus we get a 1st.

Annual reminder that Panthers drafted this guy and then lost him

Yep Eddie was great. One of his 2 misses was that crazy 57 plus yarder in Chicago AKA "the windy city" with no time left. That call was Frank's last straw for me. It was like 4th and 2 and the offense had a bit of rhythm going finally. -
In a deep qb class should the panther take one day 3?

Honestly I kind of wish he didn't have Prime as his dad from a prospect viewpoint. Prime was a great player and looks like potentially a good HC, but he was speaking for his son about staying a year and I could see him getting weird about where he goes, his contract etc... He did get his dad's confidence though. As long as he backs it up I like it. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/colorados-shedeur-sanders-im-better-than-any-qb-in-2024-nfl-draft -
KC had the confidence. Just get a FG and survive, TD wins it. They knew what they needed to do and could use 4th down if needed. I get resting the defense but man you are playing with some uncertainty vs knowing exactly what you need to do.

Burrow and Stroud also had loaded rosters. I don't count it against players, but I would be lying if I said a studied Beck enough to make a fair review of his play this year. The guy I like going into next year is Sanders with his poise, ball security, and he has more than capable arm strength and speed. He seems to be a good leader and has the swagger his roster feeds off of. Needs to speed up his processing but his OL was the biggest issue this past year. -
Purdy when throwing quick passes to CMC 7/7 59 yards. Purdy when throwing to everyone else 16/31 196 and a TD. He also missed 2 open TDs granted he was pressured quickly on the last one. Running the offense through him 38 passes to CMC's 22 carries cost the 49ers. CMC had a fumble, but he also accounted for 160 total yards and a TD he caught from his WR. Purdy is fine and still very young, but Shanahan should have known better.
-
Yeah Shanahan tried to run his offense through Purdy instead of CMC. He also should have deferred in OT... It falls on Shanahan.

He does hold the ball but he also was playing with like half a D1 roster. He needs a good jump this year with his better OL to make him a top pick. He does seem to have a clutch gene and was good at those layered throws. -

Ward’s deep pass accuracy grade was pretty bad if I remember correctly. His name stood out on the charts. Carson Beck will be an interesting player to watch. See how he doesn't without his top 2 weapons. Granted his roster is still loaded. -

Ewers' arm strength is also a weakness. Just saying if you are hating on Bryce for his arm, Ewer's isn't much of an upgrade IMO. I kind of like Sanders in the 25 class, but his arm isn't elite either... -
CJ on an island with Evans. Over and over…

Part of me wants us to bring him back. He is a FA, shouldn’t be too expensive and provides some nice speed/experience. -
I agree with all of that.
-
No one is blaming Wilks. He just didn’t perform some miracle nor does this make him a great HC candidate. He let his loaded DL do work and did drop back coverages. That worked great. KC just adjusted to it in the end. It is what it is.
-
Spag also called a great game and is a terrible HC. Being a good DC doesn’t make you a good HC. He mostly called drop back coverages and let his loaded front 4 handle the pressure. KC adjusted in the end and SF did not. That’s all part of it.
-
Chiefs defense played great and has all playoffs. You could argue they’re DC did more with less.
-
He did the same thing with Matt Ryan on a much larger level. I really don’t understand it… He is a great offensive mind but it getting a reputation for choking on the big stage.
-
The Chiefs had a weird off night. Undisciplined, fumbles, even Mahomes threw a bad pick. They still pulled it off somehow. Mainly because Shanahan wanted the go through Purdy instead of CMC.
-
Weird ass statement. His son obviously has issues but that doesn’t mean he is a bad dad. Be better man.
-
Pacheco was honestly a liability most of the game. 2 fumbles (one lost) and a bad drop. I think his nerves got the best of him.
-
Because the Chiefs made adjustments and marched down the field their final 2 possessions. One settled for a FG due to time and the next was the game winner. Mahomes also had 400 total yards. So yeah…
