  1. I’m not “attacking” you. Simply stating if it was as dark of a place as you are stating you wouldn’t be on here posting unless you are just wanting some extra drama or arguments in your life. You have posted several times about how bad this place this. Maybe posts like that are part of the problem? Honestly it looks about like any other teams board this time of year to me. The draft and our top pick drove up traffic and the same will happen when the season starts. This is an optimistic post to counter your pessimistic one.
  2. If everything went downhill and it’s ran by the inmates as you stated, why continue posting here? It must bring you some sort of enjoyment or you are just wasting your time right? When the season is rolling or the Panthers are active it’s still a good forum IMO.
  3. Yeah plus they were future 1st rounders I believe so 24 and 25. Throw in the fact it can take players several years to blossom in the NFL if they even do at all. I think Fitt knew we would have a QB on a rookie contract for the next 4-5 years so the future picks aren’t as attractive as an immediate impact pass rusher like Burns. We can afford to pay our premium positions until Young’s next contract so that’s the route we went.
  4. Look we actually had a PG who passes the ball playing in Simmons and we won. Imagine that…
  5. I agree with what you are saying, but the counter would be the cost to retain him and where that money could be allocated to offset the loss of a player like Burns. For example would Ngakoue at a fraction of his cost (who still is a solid pass rusher) plus the Rams picks plus the money saved more than offset the loss of Burns or not. It’s debatable and our staff didn’t think it would offset his loss.
  6. Probably IUI or IVF was used at that age to get his best swimmers.
  7. That explains why it was actually a close game…
  8. Just popped in to check on the Miller Summer League Critics and of course they are MIA…
  9. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/c-j-stroud-working-to-build-chemistry-with-receivers-so-they-can-dominate-at-training-camp Stroud is also training with some WRs/TEs at the University of Houston. He is putting in work outside of practice as well. Who knows who is more focused? I just happy we drafted a young, bright QB for our franchise.
  10. He has a ways to go but his ceiling is pretty high. Potentially he can become a taller Rudy Gobert with some ball skills and a 3 point shot. That’s typically a number 1 pick in most drafts. Scoot is already hurt and was 5/13 which isn’t exactly crushing it. Scoot and Amen we’re the top 2 G League players so it’s some what expected they would look the best in the summer league early. Yao Ming was over 300 pounds which is a lot harder on the body. I’m sure he will still have plenty of injuries but his ceiling is still high. If they could redo the draft tomorrow the Spurs would still take Wemby.
  11. Wemby showed better vision that I thought with some nice passes and of course he already is a great shot blocker. Once he gets his 3 point shot down he will be a solid player IMO. Maybe not a generational talent but I think he was justifiably the right pick at 1.
  12. Bouknight is a waste and Nick Smith has to learn to pass and slow down a bit. Nnaji looks like a good project big man for us.
  13. I wouldn’t say Scoot’s 5-13 with the offense flowing through him was much better than Miller’s 5-15 plus 11 rebounds going against the top pick in the draft. Both had not too great of nights shooting but still remained affective.
  14. Miller had a nice stand against Wemby. When his energy is up he looks the part.
  15. Miller needs to keep moving like Klay Thompson. He started off decent but is starting to stand in the corner now on several offensive plays…
  16. Kai brings good energy definitely. He needs some sort of offensive game…
  17. This offense is not functional. They just stand around and chunk up contested shots…
  18. @jayboogieman This is what I was talking about with mono affecting his play. He may be healthy, but still trying to get his energy back. It might also just be wishful thinking, but you are right about him needing to be aggressive.
  19. Agree 100%. It’s very early, but that’s a fair and factual statement. I hoping he is still off from losing all that weight from mono, but that can’t be all of the blame.
  20. The full article basically says what @CamWhoaaCamwas saying in let’s see how Miller does with a real PG in Melo and a real threat in Rozier. If he is struggling this bad in March then we should have some concern.
