  1. Consensus by the same analyst/commentators/former scouts/coaches/GMs that ranked Lawrence, Luck, Burrow, and yes busts like Russell as the top QB of their class. There are several links on here that consolidate multiple opinions. It’s just a majority of them not all. I’m glad you brought up Simms as he had Wilson as his QB1 over Lawrence, that doesn’t mean Lawrence wasn’t the consensus QB1 in that draft. For every one that doesn’t have Young as the top QB there are four that do. This in no way validates him or the struggles he is having these guys are wrong a lot. QB success in the NFL is very tough to predict.
  2. Google 2023 Big boards or player rankings. It’s not that big of a deal as they aren’t always right, but we can’t simply deny history because we hate the decision.
  3. It's now so bad that some people won't acknowledge his pre-draft grades/rankings. You can't change history people he was ranked overall as the top QB prospect. That doesn't mean it was right, but it is something people should probably simply acknowledge otherwise you look foolish. It just kind of makes the whole narrative of Tepper forcing a random QB on this team seem a little exaggerated though...
  4. We signed Shaquill Griffin https://nfltraderumors.co/panthers-claim-cb-shaquill-griffin-off-waivers-from-texans/
  5. I don't think McDaniel did under Shanahan either, so who knows?

  7. So a failed GM wanted Stroud and a failed HC wanted Young.
  8. Here is an estimate of how the 25 QB class might look. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/quinn-ewers-shedeur-sanders-headline-2025-nfl-draft-qb-class/
  9. The Ravens were never going to let Lamar walk. They were just playing some hard ball. If anyone made an offer they would throw money his way and get a deal done. They are too smart of a franchise to let him go like that.
  10. He wasn’t really here long enough for these guys to have that strong of a bond with him. That’s why no one really cares.
  11. Sanders might not declare this year. Let’s wait and see the final list.
  12. Yeah they are running wild with these guesses. Tepper and Reich have plenty of issues without the media trying to create more. My guess is he did incorporate some RPO, I mean I saw a few ran on Sunday, but didn’t dial it up nearly enough before it didn’t flow with what he was calling on the field.
  13. Meddling or not Ron, Rhule, and Reich were the wrong guys. The biggest issue about Tepper’s patience is how over eager he is to find his QB. Teddy, Darnold, Corral, Mayfield (honestly Baker’s trade was solid) the trade up for Young all cost us valuable resources and we still might not have it right. Outside of that he clearly has a hiring problem. He needs to just hire Colbert to oversee this next hiring process.
  14. Let’s see if Zavala jumped anyone this week? Nope, still dead last! Maybe next week on Zavala and Company…
  15. Didn’t he flat out say he isn’t on their payroll in an earlier podcast?
  16. If it’s pretty certain you have the wrong guy it’s better just to move on. Now he needs to look in the mirror about his involvement, the roster and his hiring process which is also responsible for all these coaching changes.
  17. Ryan said he had Young and Stroud as QB 1A and 1B. That's why he stayed at 2. If you have them similarly ranked you just stay put and keep the picks. I can post a link of Ryan saying this. Can you post one of him or his scouts saying "bryce ain't all that?" Think of how big of a gamble that is because at the time Vegas (which you swear by) has Stroud as the favorite to go 1 to us? If someone changes Tepper's mind into liking Stroud then Houston would be left with the guy who "ain't all that."
  18. So we should have kept Ron, Rhule, or Reich? It's clear none of these are the right guys as the teams regressed and some of them lost the locker room. The firing isn't an issue to me. The hiring and over eagerness of trying to find a QB are the problems. This is why the roster is in shambles IMO.
  19. I mean the internet is time stamped. Just google "2023 QB draft class" and see where most of these "experts" have them ranked. The narrative is changing to Young being forced on us but there is a ton of hindsight behind that view because of how well Stroud is doing vs Young. At the time it was no big deal and almost expected when we drafted Young.
  20. Honest question. If Tepper was completely removed and say Fitt, Brown, Caldwell all wanted Young while Reich wanted Carr which we passed on. Do you really think McCown (the qb coach) on even Reich would really put up much of a fight for Stroud. I do think Young or Stroud were most of our staff's 1A and 1B as they were on many analysts'. To me it seems clear Fitt was a Young guy from the beginning with his processing, point guard nonsense and never mentioning size, arm strength etc... Brown is adamant about being a Young guy and with Caldwell being the one to take over the QB room now it seems pretty clear he was a Young guy. I think we were just wrong picking Young over Stroud as a whole. It happens all the time I mean Mitch was picked over Mahomes and Brady went late in his draft. I just don't think Tepper was banging the table overriding anyone who wanted Stroud. I think more people wanted Young and he was 100% on board with it because he was a Young guy as well. It does look like Tepper rushed things and forced this trade up too soon IMO.
  21. They could fire the hell out of me if they want to make me that money for 10 months of shitty work. That's probably why Tepper dropped the F bomb in the locker room. He realizes how much money he just lost.
  22. That's kind of what I thought. He seems interested in building his portfolio in Charlotte to me...
