I've worked with and known lots of people exactly like that, and they are all absolutely insufferable.

Not saying he's a shitty person because he's an ineffective owner, but the way he's running things seems to go hand in hand with stuff we knew about him beforehand. Example, he got passed over for a job, so when he got rich he bought his old bosses house and built a house twice as big on it. That's the kind of guy that seems like a bundle of joy to be around. The "Makes Sense" part is where SO MANY people get lost. I see every offseason "We CoUlD hAvE sIgNeD (insert player name here) fOr (Insert what another team paid)" and its always stupid. We can offer the same contracts and get turned down for multitudes of reasons. During even our good years, we still had a hard time attracting prime free agents because they look at the fact that Marketing contracts they can sign are better in the bigger markets. NOW add that part to our cluster of a situation, and unless we're literally backing a brinks truck to their doorstep, Most of the top flight guys ARENT gonna come here.

What sucks is we have to keep in mind who we are and the stigma we now have. we are going to have to overpay BIGTIME to get some quality FA's. Imagine you're Tee Higgins, or Mike Evans and you could sign a contract with even someone like the Giants, but for the same pay or maybe slightly more, you could come to Carolina where we'll be on our 3rd coach (technically 4th since Wilks was better than either of the 2 morons before or after him) in 3 years, a toxic work environment due to the dildo of an owner, and a second year quarterback who may or may not be any good but damn sure has been completely shellshocked by our incompetence...Why on earth would anyone CHOOSE to be part of this situation.
