  1. Yeah, "Thunder and Lightning" were the duo for the Titans. White and Johnson maybe?
  2. He is free to make his takes and analysis as he wants. There are no restrictions on his ability to scowl and mean mug and make Chucky faces all day. But he is no longer attached to a team, a representative of a team, and does not speak in an official capacity for the NFL. It's fine to not agree, or to agree, with him being out of the game, and I have no doubts that he loves the game, but there are consequences to actions and choices.
  3. He will never get another coaching shot, even though he would certainly take it, if it came along. Winning the 1 and only Superbowl with Dungy's team, against his own former team, that reportedly didn't even change their calls, plays and signals, is what it is, I suppose. There is too much negative associated with him now. Rightfully or not, no one would risk their brand with him anymore.
  4. I like the historical context presented here, in that it shows just how much we have gotten to rub elbows with some of the worst teams ever.
  5. 36 wins in the 7 years since the last playoff appearance will put a bit of a damper on things like Fanfest.
  6. I think much of it is hyperbole, and it's meant to be a negative take, hence the title. It doesn't mean there is no truth in the jesting though. This is the 3rd year for our qb, and this should be the year of production, not potential.
  7. https://defector.com/why-your-team-sucks-2025-carolina-panthers
  8. He found another piece of pie. He found himself out of the league. He found himself a new career.
  9. There's been some good ones. That and the stiffarm on MNF come to mind.
  10. The Bucs had plenty of candidates back on that 1st Superbowl team. When the league assigned them to the NFC South, they were barking about how they got demoted to a division with loser teams.
  11. Tampa is my favorite road trip game to see. There is a little less gasoline on the fire for them because they were a putrid franchise that has overcome their 0-26 start, poor ownership, terrible front office, players publically letting it be known to not draft them, and it gives hope to other putrid franchises like us.
  12. Sounds like our left tackle is staging a hold-in.
  13. At some point in the very near future though the potential and hope is not going to be enough. I would expect there to be the confidence to make an unfortunate, or difficult or complicated decision when the time comes, rather than throwing our hands up and producing more reasons why the supposed-franchise player still needs more of this, that and the other to be successful, not just "competitive."
  14. Pretty sure Gamble was early. Maybe even a late 1st rounder, but not into the later rounds. Captain Norman Cota as the 3rd DB No clue on the OL though.
  15. Yeah, I think it has to be either Cota or Grant. They are the only ones I can think of that had some success that may have been from the later rounds.
  16. No idea on the OL, but as for another DB, maybe Cota or Grant?
  17. If there is 1 thing this team has shown it is more than capable of, it is heart-breaking disappointment. I wait until there are some preseason games before I get too optimistic, because I cannot think of a time when we looked bad in preseason and it didn't directly translate to the regular season. There has never been a switch this team could throw and turn it on, even in the good years. Regarding the Atlanta game, I am hesitant to make much of it. Don't get me wrong..wins are nice, and wins against hated rivals are even nicer. On its own though, it might just be that, and not a trend.
  18. He is "Keep Pounding." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45498715/nfl-carolina-panthers-chuba-hubbard-olympics-flag-football-track
  19. It is very possible. It is also very possible that the Bears, even with those improvements, could still be the 4th team in that division.
  20. Alternatively, CBS Sports has him on bust alert. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/bust-alert-nine-nfl-players-who-are-running-out-of-time-to-prove-themselves-entering-2025-season/
  21. Bengals are a notoriously cheap franchise. When they were pursuing Tony Siragusa as a free agent, they provided him with a coach plane ticket. Players were responsible for their own soap and toiletry items. None would be provided by the team. They are content to underpay their best defensive player with what amounts to a short term prove it type deal. The offset language at issue in the contract has not been included in their previous contracts, so it certainly sounds like buyer remorse.
  22. I have not watched the video. Rather, I was lucky enough to listen live when it was broadcast. I remember once he was getting gas at the next pump over from me. Always 1 of my favorites. Even when he ran down to New Orleans to try to make their squad after getting released here. I didn't want him to be the gm. I am tired of seeing Panther legends dragged down by the remarkable losing this team manages to do.
  23. They will never be good enough to put that game in their past. "ATL" stands for All-Time Losers, and I'm pretty sure they have to display that on their uniforms for legal purposes.
  24. Just have to see how the off-season additions work out, what kind of impact rookies have, if there is a positive answer to the really, really big question at qb, or if we have just rearranged the deck chairs on the Titanic. Could be an exciting season, either way.
  25. Conversely, a good team should have no problem going on the road to defeat an inferior opponent.
