Official my god how have we sunk so low Panthers at Falcons thread
Proudiddy replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Posted it when TMJ got laid out, and just came here to post the same thing again. That right there is why our receivers lead the league in drops, bc they don't know which one is gonna get them stretchered off. Tired of Sam's crap and guys like Robby getting blamed for it. -
Genuinely wondering about the fairness of the refs today.

Until we establish ourselves as a winner, it's always gonna be like this. Now, don't get me wrong, you need some calls to win some games, but we'll have to overcome it and start winning to garner the favoritism that our opponents always have. It sucks, but I'm used to it. -
Also, as I said in the "we're out" thread a couple of days ago - that report meant absolutely nothing. I wouldn't be shocked if nothing happens at all, but I also wouldn't be shocked at all to hear at any point out of nowhere before the 2nd, that we traded for Watson. The reports out there are all posturing and leveraging. I think we were giving Houston a chance to step back and reassess the weakness of their current position they're in with Watson because their demands were too high. I expect their demands will drop significantly the closer we get to the deadline. I think Tepper is set on getting him so long as they are reasonable, which they haven't been. I expect that will change.

fug it... trade Hayward for Myles Turner. Problem solved. I'm tired of these big man problems.
-
JB has to start playing Richards and/or Kai more. Bam still has strength over them, but they have athleticism to still be there to contest. PJ is too small and Plumlee is too unathletic. We have never, ever, ever been able to figure out the big conundrum since we got a franchise back. It has singlehandedly been the longest and biggest ongoing problem for us, and Chandler was the closest we ever came to solving it, which is sad. Also, Melo did not look good at all on this road trip. I suspect his confidence took a little bit of a hit too after the shooting woes. He started deferring and wasn't even trying to handle the ball or initiate the offense after that last couple of misses. Looked like the complete opposite of his game against Indy.

2 firsts and CMC I'm pulling the trigger immediately. Asking for Burns or Chinn is too much. I'd give them Donte considering his contract status and the depth at corner, but that's it. Hope they come to their senses and realize their market is limited and they have absolutely zero leverage.
-
Actually, I've been advocating this ever since we were connected to Watson. As uniquely talented and great as CMC is, at the end of the day, he's a RB, and now, appears to be a RB who can't stay healthy or available. It would be wise to include him in any trade for Watson, as maybe they'll value the star power over common sense and knowing that winning teams aren't built around RBs. We may as well try to get out from under his contract as soon as possible.

Chris Simms: People have caught on to the Panthers offense.

Another poster and I (can't recall who it was off the top of my head) were just discussing the repeat plays here yesterday, I believe. Specifically the repeated end arounds that have no variation and look exactly like the ones ran before, both to WRs and Tremble. The run plays, too. Idk how many times we've set up for an obvious run, and everyone knew it was a dive or belly, straight up the middle. Even the slant/flat combos come out of the same formations and the same setup everytime... that's where I say, it's not just Darnold sucking, and then trying to protect him, it's also Brady. He isn't giving defenses anything to second guess or hesitate about. I said it in the gameday thread last week - if we fans sitting at home or in the stands see a formation and setup/motion, and know we've seen it before and what is coming, you know NFL defense are salivating presnap because they damn sure do. It's just embarrassing. -

Second year in a row that the whole season gets shot to hell by some combination of the inherent weaknesses of the QB and/or the OC. Brady may be a man-genius OC, but we'll never know because when and Rhule keep marrying themselves to these limited retreads. -
Also, Suggs is cheeks, as I predicted lol.
-
I amend what I said... Gordon stepped up, and played well tonight.
-
Miles is an all-star this season. No doubt.
-
JB subbed Melo out with less than 4 mins left. This has been rough.
-
Nice search back and pull, Melo! Hopefully getting that one got him right.
-
My God Melo has never even looked close to being this bad. Maybe having the ol' Jordan Flu?
-
Wtf was that Martin??? Drive into 4 people and jump from the FT line?
-
And maybe its just me, but McDaniels is like my favorite player on this roster not named Miles or Melo, out of the guys getting minutes... it just seems like he's automatic from three this year, and his size and athleticism makes him so versatile on both offense and defense.
-
Doesn't look like JB was happy about that stretch either.
-
Melo must've had a late night out. He looks pretty bad tonight.
-
Yeah, I expect it, I just hadn't remembered seeing Melo in at all in the 3rd.
-
Even as a UNC guy, I'm sorry, but Cole Anthony is trash and I have no idea how he's getting these shots in.
-
Yeah, and I haven't noticed him at all in the 3rd. Weird.
-
Yeah, I still hope we find a way to move him for Myles Turner. He just ain't what he was, even from the beginning of last season. Lot of questionable decisions and shots early this season.
-
Nice of them ignoring Wagner swinging his elbows up high on Ish.
-
Also, Suggs is who I thought he was. Not impressed.
