I agree but it's not happening. Bryce will have to build on the good from last year, or he will be gone. I really doubt Dan and Dave get the boot for that unless this next year is like 1-16 bad. They're not going to reinvent the offense for him, as they haven't done that since he was drafted. As dumb as it is, it's what's happening. I agree with your sentiment that we need more short yardage pass catching talent, but I don't think that justifies taking a TE in the top 10.

I'm judging a book by it's cover here but, he does not have the look of a guy that you pick in the top 10. He looks like that charismatic fat kid that plays DT on your high school team, but doesn't have the physicals to make it to the next level.

The Sean Gilbert trade is kind of funny in retrospect. I'm not quite sure what the Panthers expected from him. He had a great season in 1993, but he hadn't been producing like that on a yearly basis. His 1998 line is basically what you would expect given the last few years of his career. But at the time, I just remember everyone being furious that he wasn't Aaron Donald essentially. It's just puzzling, because he had only been argubly that good for one season. Either way, it was completely stupid to give two 1st round picks for him at 28 years old.

Bolded part is the only thing I'd take issue with. I have not been impressed with Allar as an NFL prospect. I watched a fair amount of Penn St games last year, and my thoughts were Warren is mostly feasting on easy stuff that's not going to work regularly in the NFL. He is a good football player, but I don't see generational ability.

If Dan flips the last year of Moton for a 2nd and gets a franchise LT at 8, then he's the fuging man. That would be brilliant.

I'd rather do this than take someone at a need position that would go late 1st-early 2nd in an average class.

There's been rumblings that he may fall to the 2nd round. I'm not sure he'll make it quite that far, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him picked 21-32. I have a feeling the Steelers will pass on him and he'll fall to the Browns 1st pick in the 2nd round.

Yea that's trade chart value. But I'd rather have an extra 1st next year vs another 2nd this year. If you're Dan and you think you're safe, it would be the move to make.

Even if you don't need a QB, an extra 1st next year for moving down a bit this year is a huge value add.
