True. But we have no way of knowing why they chose to do that. I would question playing starters if I was playing against the Panthers and they weren't playing anyone that was gonna make the 53. Just throwing out there. If they haven't had action in the first two games, I just don't think it makes a lot of sense to dress them for game 3.

Na that's what the first two games are for. There's almost no reason to play our starters against the Bills backups. Best case scenario is they look good against 2nd stringers, which does nothing. Worst case is they get stuffed by 2nd stringers and lose confidence. Also, the risk of nagging injuries in the last game can easily drag into week 1. If there was a time to play the starters, this ain't it. Just my two cents.

Jake was the lovable reject underdog. Cam was superman. There's not really a comparison. I'm taking 2015 Cam over anyone we've had under center.

I would certainly do that, but I feel like there's almost no chance of it happening. I think there's a higher probability that they claim him and carry him as QB3 on the 53 man. And I don't think the odds of that are very good. I think it's gonna be Bryce and Andy on the 53, with the plumber waiting in reserve on the PS.

Patrick Jeffers injury was a real shame. 99 showed so much promise in the passing game with Moose and Jeffers. Beuerlein looked really good that year. He was a statue, but he had great accuracy in a clean pocket. He was on the team for years, but that 99 year was so good I'd almost classify him as a one year wonder as well.
