  1. And if the pass protection is the same on week 1? Would you hold him out until next season? This is pretty unheard of.
  2. They're already putting it out there that he may not play at all. It feels like that's how its gonna go. I'd be surprised if he takes a snap.
  3. The Corbett at C thing just reminds me picking up Sam Darnold's 5th year option. Well we just figured if he was actually good, it would be a great deal. The type of thinking that's indicative of a gambler. Not a poker player. That's all about assessing probability and risk. But someone who would invest their entire life savings into scratch off tickets.
  4. When I first saw the news that we had traded up to #1, I thought to myself "It's gotta be Stroud." I was definitely for taking Stroud, but was ultimately bamboozled by the baby genius hype train. I didn't watch him play that much in college, and I assumed he was a bit more athletic than he actually is. He might be able to make the right decisions better than most rookies, but I'm not sure that his athleticism meets the bar to put him in those positions in the NFL. He seemed to do better when the play broke down in college. But, I'm not sure that he's athletic enough to be rolling out of the pocket constantly in the NFL. I'm interested to see what happens this year, but I was definitely fooled by the hype train right before the draft. The trade up itself was dumber than the pick. Draft picks are never a sure thing. Bryce could have been Mighty Mouse last year and Stroud could have busted hard. But pushing all the chips to middle of the table on that kind of pick is just unnecessarily risky.
  5. All we had to do was wait another 10 or so weeks to fire Rhule. He would have gotten the pick without the trade. Or at least without having to give up as much.
  6. Rookie coach does rookie things. More at 11. Even if he works out, there's gonna be some bumps.
  7. Wasn't that the rap on him before the draft though? One of the common points on him was he excels outside of structure. That's kinda why I thought we were getting some form of Russell Wilson or Kyler Murray. Not quite as athletic, but perhaps smarter and a better QB overall. It goes back to your point about the offense not really being suited for him. Shouldn't they be trying to create more situations outside of the pocket where he can actually see?
  8. It's great that our offense gets to practice against one of the all-time great defenses.
  9. All jokes and smart ass comments aside, I appreciate the posts @Icege. Thank you for your service.
  10. Um excuse me. I was told Mr. Clowney has finally reached his draft potential at 31 years old?
  11. I just mean you only see these posted when it’s the only thing a guy has going for him. And that rarely works out. Cam and Luke could play and that was clear in college.
  12. Its hard to not root for Joe Milton. Wouldn't have minded taking him in the 6th.
  13. If anything give the defense the preseason off because they've been dominating all camp.
  14. It's as valuable as you wanna make it. That's live reps against a real opponent. Play them a bit deeper into the 1st quarter and you're going against 2nd teamers that are playing hard. And thats a good opportunity to try some things, make some mistakes, and most importantly complete some damn passes in a game to your new receivers. Get some confidence, gel a bit. Waiting until week 1 with the worst roster in the NFL just doesn't make any sense.
  15. Bro every player I've seen a RAS sheet for is terrible. The greener those boxes are the faster you need run away. Good football players don't need that card.
