yep it hinders or alters your offense when you cross the 50 yard line and knowing you have to get 20ish more yards at least to put you in FG range. I suspect you call plays a bit differently as well.

His leg is too weak and its a liability for the offense. Not even having the option to kick a 50ish yard FG throttles down the offense.

And the choice as of now is play him at this current contract for this season, see how he plays and then decide to opt out, restructure or keep playing on the existing deal. I see only 1 of those options viable, opt out after 2025 no matter how he plays and then try and resign him. But by all accounts he is a headcase currently eye balling his 5th team. Why would he want to come here initially and why would he resign here if we opted out of his deal?

In your scenario for all this to work is for him to not only play like a top 10ish corner and assuming he would redo his original deal if we didnt want to out right cut him. Yeah man I dont think extending a 32 year old corner is in our cards especially when the average age of a nfl corner is 27. That just doesnt make sense no matter how well one thinks he is playing. All in all like you say its all assumptions and hypotheticals but I really dont see morgan doing this after everything he has said and done about bad contracts

Moton aint getting restructured, yall need to let this go. And I really dont see any value adding a declining player with a huge cap hit that we would probably cut after the season. Not sure why we would restructure a huge deal for a 32 year old corner. It just doesnt make sense. Morgan has been clear about kicking the proverbial can down the road. And if you think Ramsey is the missing piece that is going to unlock our defense and help challenge for the division then we can just agree to disagree at that point. 2026 is the season we should take bigger swings. 2025 is about culture and getting our existing players reps and hopefully wins.
